I'm 6'2" and I slouch. Then again, I also have scoliosis. So I mean...yeah.

Ditto.

Being tall with long arms means I can reach things with ease, and I get a better chance of spotting people/being spotted in a crowd. On the other hand, I have to watch some doorways and squeeze into small cars. Pretty fair trade to my mind.

One of my friends is about 6' and she wears high heels all the time. She married a tall guy, though. I've dated taller and shorter, no preference. Taller makes me feel girlier, and shorter means I can run faster.

If you find that you need to run faster, that may not be a healthy relationship you're in.

Likewise, I have never seen someone shorter then 5'4 who didn't walk perfectly ram-rod upright and add inches with thick soled boots and high heels.

So which is better, to be tall or short?

I'm 5'1", and that lovely stereotype of shorter people is dead on for me. I think I own a grand total of one pair of shoes that aren't at least 3 inches high, and they're sneakers and I rarely wear them. I'm the shortest member of my family. (who's reached their full height; my little siblings aren't that old yet) and by far the shortest of my friends, and when everyone looks down on me it makes me really self conscious. Especially since almost all my guy friends are within about 3 inches of 6 feet tall. I also like to wear tight little pants, since I have long legs compared to my body length and it makes me look taller.

Personally, I would want to be taller. Not by a lot, but by some. I think it is the whole 'wanting to be the average' deal... I'm not usually one who wants to stick out in a crowd that much.

You didn't mention the long arms' annoying tendency of knocking shit off things.

I'm somewhat over six feet, my girlfriend is a bit over five feet. It's just swell that tiny girls feel safe if big and protective guys guard them like a treasure vault but I'm feeling compelled to purchase a portable stepladder for whenever we want to kiss.

I quite like being tall at 6'2". To avoid getting my eye poked out from a passer-by with an umbrella or catching the barman's eye in a busy pub. But cracking my head on low doorways designed from Munchkins is no fun, or trying to shoehorn myself into the loaned Mini while the truck's being repaired is quite a challenge. Makes me wonder how 6'4" Jeremy Clarkeson would manage if he didn't have such an eclectic choice of cars for being an over-paid Top Gear TV presenter.

6'4", helps with seeing over fences, climbing things, and reaching all the stuff in my flat which appears to have been designed for people a few inches taller than me.
Coincidentally my fiance is about a foot smaller than me, and has a terrible time reaching the stuff in our flat.

You can a lot of different views to this controversial debate, and accept any given result you choose as being the one that satisfactorily whets your inquiry.

I prefer to take the religion stance on this one, in that God made everyone the way they are for His own purposes and reasons. So be happy with who you are, cause its the best person you can be.
