Music Video They Aren't ALL Bad

Okay, so the music video seems to have a bad rap, thanks to MTV, but sometimes there are some amazing works of art set to music that slip through the video channel's fingers, or are forced into late-night programming. Or, even mainstream videos that plain kick ass. Just list some favourites, if you have any.

Aphex Twin - "Windowlicker"
Awesome video, but the full-length one drags on a bit too much at the beginning. I like to have the ginormous limo appear right away, not ten minutes into it. In fact, the following directors rarely make a poor video:
- Michel Gondry
- Chris Cunningham (director of both Aphex Twin videos mentioned thus far)
- Spike Jonze
- Shynola (see: "Pyramid Song" by Radiohead)
Also, for specific videos:
- The Chemical Brothers - "Elektrobank"
- Alexisonfire - "Waterwings And Other Poolside Fashion Faux Pas" (Possibly the best dance-off sequences ever)
- Blur - "Coffee And TV"
- ALL of the Gorillaz videos (especially "Clint Eastwood", which is so laden with pop culture references that it makes my head spin)
- Sonic Youth - "Bull In The Heather"
- Pixies - "Here Comes Your Man" and "Debaser"
- Any and all Beck videos
- The Flaming Lips - "Fight Test" and "Do You Realize??"

Rivalling that of that one Run DMC remix by Boys Against Girls. Nothing kicks more ass than that guy who gives his opponents a face fulla 'fro before he does his shit.
Anyway, i have favorite videos but i... forget. been so very very long since i watched a music video all the way through. Shame on me. I can name a bunch of live-perfomance videos i like, but that's off topic so i'll spare you.

Agreed. That and the Clint Eastwood video, even though I've only seen them once. I may be a bit biased simply because I love the songs themselves, but I like Foo Fighter's "Learn to Fly", "Wonder Boy" and "Tribute" by Tenacious D (well, parts of them...the downloads screwed up before I could see the whole things), "Take on Me" by Reel Big Fish (for Baseketball), and a few other that I can't remember off the top of my head.
I'd really like to see that Pennywise video now, too.

Christ, I haven't listened to the Beastie Boys since I was twelve or thirteen...
I really liked the videos for Intergalactic and Body Move It (is that what it's called? Like I said, it's been quite a while). That one mainly sticks out because the video looked like that move Diabolique, which was also the last episode of MST3K.
Maybe not one of my all-time favorites, but it's memorable at least.

The Beastie Boys reached their peak video-wise with "Sabotage". I should also mention "Main Offender" by the Hives. It seems fitting to do so with their new album merely weeks away. Any video that pits a band against their alter-egoes in a poorly choreographed fist fight is okay by me.

When I was ten, I thought Meredith Brooks was the coolest because of the song "Bitch"...and I was actually aloud to listen to it (strict parents). That and the video looked kind of trippy (at least it did then).
And "Sabotage", how could I forget that one!
