I have a feeling this thread's going to be locked on base principles, but still.

In my eyes, you can't go far wrong with The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster.

Anyone else want to contribute anything that won't get us locked in four posts? laugh.gif

Radish was a good solid band. And then there's amazing bands like The Who and The Clash.

Chyld, fear not. The other thread was locked because AMP felt it necessary to delve into personal attacks and childish name calling. As long as things stay clean and fun, this thread will thrive.

Anyway, I reccommend Division Of Laura Lee to all. I'm sure these guys could get aboard the garage punk thing if it weren't for the politics in their music. Same goes for the (International) Noise Conspiracy.

Right, we've survived for four posts, it seems. Time for me to expand.

I know everybody hates Slipknot, and this won't win my any brownie points, but they are actually a really good band. They've diversified tonnes on this album, there's melodic tracks! With acoustic guitars and harmonious vocals! If nothing else, give the single a listen.

The Horrorpops - just bought their album, and it is literally "hillbillies with electric guitars" music.

Skindred are shiny - they're technically a metal/punk crossover type band fronted by a man who'd seem more at home doing ragga/reggae.

Plus Metallica.

The Horrorpops are very good from what I've heard, and I am engaged to the lead singer. She doesn't know this yet, but I'm sure she'd be cool with it.

But... but... she said I was her only one... sad.gif

At any rate, they are very good, and I do suggest you acquire a copy of their album with all due haste. My previous description still stands.

Slipknot tried to ripp off ACID BATH, if that's your cup of tea, then listen to ACID BATH.

I only have the album 'when the kite string pops'
but it's a great CD and you should all own it!!!

Ah, I've been trying to remember where you mentioned them before so I could recall the name. Good thing you brought them up again, as I was curious about them. I did check out those Spiderbait people that you mentioned, but I received them with mixed results.
And Chyld, if you like Horrorpops, I reccommend you check out Tiger Army, New Bomb Turks and Nekromantix. There are some similiarities there, and they're all part of the ever-shrinking list of punk bands that I still listen to.

Actually, after you told me to listen to them last time, I hopped onto Kaaza and downloaded a few tracks. They are indeed very good, and now I'm a-hunting said album on eBay.

I am assuming that it was. He's more than likely being childish because I closed the thread like this that he started when he resorted to similar behaviour.

However, let's try to stay at least somewhat on-topic here, okay?
