I appreciated Mike Myers doing Shrek... it was a nice thing to do after all his annoying Austin Powers films. Man, for the love of God, why did he choose Austin Powers to be the long running series? Why not make more Wayne's World films?

The original Austin Powers had its moments but after that, the films deteriorated into a toilet humour festival that was at stages more painful than Dumb and Dumber.

Sorry, got sidetracked there. As you were.

Well I had a ball watching both Shrek 1 & 2. They both appealed to my sense of humour. I thought Eddie Murphy was great as donkey and Antonio Banderas as Puss in Boots was brilliant.

I like the references to pop culture and such and the supporting characters were highly entertaining. I agree that the interrogation scene of the gingerbread man was just fantastic.

There is a great more feeling and expression in these two films than the two PT movies we've seen thus far.

I haven't gotten around to seeing 2 yet. I remember watching the first, and thought the first half was brilliant with all the jokes, but the second half was just a drawn out romance heading for an obvious ending. So, loved the first half, didn't pay much heed to the second half. Sequal looks good though, and I look forward to seeing it.

The problem only problem is I won't have time for at least a week. Well, actually, thats not quite true. I will spend a lot of next week sitting around with nothing to do, but I won't have access to a cinema, computer or even tv, so meyh.

No! You must go and watch this movie by the next Friday! And that's an order!

Kidding... see it when you see it, mate. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

It's funny when people are stupid. An easy target for criticism, and not a classic by any means, I found two things laughable about D&d.

Dumb And Dumber is a retardedly stupid movie, but come on, it's also quite hilarious. It's also the only movie, that I know of, in which Jim Carrey doesn't have his chipped tooth covered up.

Anyway, Austin Powers movies are not without their charm, but yeah, the sequels basically just copy the first one, with a few slight modifications. Example:
In the first, Dr. Evil has a habit of saying "Shh" to silence Scott. In the second, he does the same thing, in the same context, only now it's "Zip it". In the third, it changes only slightly to become "Scotty don't!" I recally finding "Scotty don't!" to be pretty funny, but that's also the only thing that I found to be funny in the third one.
