Step 1: Go to Google.

Step 2: Type in "Salacious P. Crumb".

Step 3: Click "I'm feeling lucky".

Step 4: Sit back and think about how the people that run the Star Wars Databank must hate that.

It's weird... usually stuff that works out like this is because of Google bombing. Obviously I didn't petition for any Google bombing so this is just good old-fashioned site ranking. Boo ya!

Props, dawg. Way to go! (thanks for sharin'.)

I'm really glad to see that. I've always detested that character. His cackles and the children's shouts should've prepared me for the lovable ewoks. Finally his name has some merit attached!

and what does the P. stand for anyway? It couldn't be that important. Maybe it verifies kenner packaging.

This is sure to spark a classic ROTJ debate between Vwing and civilian_number_two. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but eventually. wink.gif

Well, I'm not really upset with Jedi anymore. It was a prickleburr 20 years ago, but given its due Jedi WAS OT. But I can't see how the most Jedi pride-filled OT fan would stand up for S.P.C.

Just doesn't measure up to "wanna wonga" in my eyes.

The "P" stands for Pat. Or at least, I want it to.

Salacious should've been a warning of Jar Jar, but crap, give me SPC over JJB ANY FRICKIN' DAY!!! It's obvious to me that Jabba would have such a pet, just that he should NOT have been so 'in our faces.' What makes ANH and ESB is their moderation.

Don't want to be to much of a downer here, but I think the reason it comes up is because in the article his name is reported as Salacious P. Crumb. I had always thought it was Salacious B. Crumb so I checked by doing a google search on this option. He is listed in the Star Wars database as Salacious B. Crumb (although I still don't know what the B stands fro anymore than I would have the P).

So mystery solved. You get the first up hit due to spelling Chef. tongue.gif

I wonder if the "P" in Salicious P. Crumb is an homage to rogue comic book writer "R. Crumb". I am sure that Lucas in hios youth was an avid reader of R. Crumb's works.

I myself am not a huge R. Crumb fan, but you have to admit to the guys "genius"

If you ever have feelings that you are an oddball in the universe and that your family life is disfunctional, watch the documentary "R. Crumb" . You will thank the lord that you didn't have to have a childhood like the Crumb children. blink.gif blink.gif

I like his brothers comics. the one where it stars of quite normal, untill the characters say more and more and the message bubbles get gigger and the pics get smaller untill it just becomes pages of manic writing.

it's the craziest and scariest thing i've ever seen.

Crumb is a good movie. Funny, my brother and I are a little like the Crumb brothers. We both love to draw and write comics, and are a little weird (but not as weird as those two in that movie). I just hope neither goes nuts like the one brother... anyway...
