QUOTE (sinister grinner @ Nov 26 2003, 12:19 AM)
actually i was answering civilian number two's question on the configuration of toilet paper. i stated my opinion on the matter. it came to me while in deep meditation.

Yeah got that. What I found ambiguous was the concept of "backwards". Does backwards refer to the roll being set so it rolls over, or so it rolls under? From your description you imply rolling over as you also mention a clockwise spin, but what in the clockweise spin then makes this backwards? If anything I would say that clockwise would be more predisposed to indicating forwards as a clockwise spin indicates that things are going forward, much the way time goes forward when a clock ticks clockwise.

backwards.so it spins clockwise. that's the best way, easy access.

Does anyone else find this response to be completely ambiguous?

Yes, but I got the impression it was supposed to be. I could, however, be wrong. blink.gif

But this also makes no sense. If it were a tire "not" going in reverse then it would be going clockwise as this makes the car go forward. If it were a tire not going in reverse it would be coming towards you...

The thing about clockwise or not, totally depends on which side of the roll your looking at while it turns. Not to bring back up a murdered subject or anything.
