Click there if you feel like looking up year old rumors regarding a potential Flash Gordon relaunch with... what's his name, that guy, he's dating Demi Moore even though he's a lot younger than her, he used to be on "That 70s Show", well, this thing listed him as being in talks to play Flash.

I've got nothing better to post so I figured I'd post this.

The thought of Ashton Kutcher as Flash Gordon is scary, though he does bare a resemblance to Sam J. Jones, the actor who played Flash in the 1980 film powered by the music of QUEEN.

Useless Flash Gordon trivia - Arnold Schwarzenegger was considered for the part of Flash Gordon at one point. Kurt Russell was also considered for the role of Flash Gordon - that's 2 sci-fi franchises Russell was rejected from! Poor fellow...

Munson, Dr. Hans Zarkov's assistant was played by William Hootkins, who appeared in Star Wars as Red Six/Portkins, Batman 1989 as the sloppy cop killed by pre-Joker Jack Nicholson, and Raiders of the Lost Ark as one of the American agents that confront Indiana Jones about the Ark.

that's good trivia.

FG with Sam Jones was ok, not really much better than that. (sigh) Nostalgia makes the Queen soundtrack tolerable if not a happy memory. I'm tired of remakes already. Yet I suppose Flash does belong to the ages.

And there will probably be Another version in 25 years.

In addition to being slated to do this new Flash Gordon movie, writer/director Stephen Sommers is slated to do a big screen adaptation of Captain Marvel/the Power of Shazam.
