QUOTE (Jane Sherwood @ Aug 5 2004, 09:35 AM)
I personally hate white clothing and avoid it at all costs (except for socks and other things of the sort, but those are never seen anyway). I'd much rather be one of those people who can wear all black instead, yet for some reason, I can never seem to pull it off. All my black clothes seem to magically get covered in little bits of lint and cat hair mere seconds after I put them on. Do people who commonly dress in black always carry a handy little lint brush in their pockets or something?

I wear predominantly black clothing, and don't have that problem.
I also own a white belt. Does that count?

There's this commercial for Dell computers about roommates who only share only one thing in common, by the end we see they both use Dells. One girl is real chirpy, and the other is definintely not. as they get to know each other, the perky one says "you like black?" (which is QUITE obvious because that's all the other girl wears/fills closet with.)

I found it amusing. thought it was relevant to the thread. The Mad spoof covers the black/white costuming in a humorous manner as well. smile.gif

There used to be a commercial on TV awhile back about those guys in those business suit slacks and stuff and it was stain repellent...You could pur stuff on it and it would roll off. But who wants to wear a business suit anyway? wink.gif

My closet is a rainbow. I really only have one white outfit. White pants and and blue and white swirly thing shirt. It's almost impossible to wear anything white or black when you have as many cats as I have. They draw the fuzzies like a magnet. dry.gif

I think Heccubus may be one of those people who can wear white or black clothes without stains or lint. Okay, confession time - what's your secret, Heccubus?

I just have good luck, I guess.
White clothes for me are dress shirts. I don't own any other white clothes outside of my belt and some socks.
As far as black, I dunno. Maybe I'm just more used to avoiding the fluffies.

I've got one:

Sleeping pills are nice, but I realized something last night. When you've taken one, but you decide to read something before it takes effect, when the letters on the page start dancing and holding conversations with each other, and are completely ignoring you...it's time to just stop fighting and go to bed.

Hmm... I most often wear baggy dark blue carpenter jeans, black low top sneakers, and a black shirt that either has no design, or some goofy saying. Although I have two white shirts, and a couple blue ones.

And I think there are a couple things so consider with lint involved. First of all, if you have a dog the constant sheds white hair (like me), you're screwed in the lint department if any clothing comes within a ten mile radius of your dog. Secondly, it seems my rougher shirts get less lint on them, also older shirts seem to be less linty for me. However, if I ever had the opportunity to purchase a lint brush I could fit in my pocket, I'd surely carry it around with me.

In school I used to duck into a bathroom with a roll of masking tape and use that to de-lint myself.

I try never to take any sort of sleeping pills ever.

I rarely focus on clothes, so mostly what I where is a very plain pair of khakis, and a blank solid colored t-shirt, which is usually either royal blue or purple (or occasionally some shade of blue-green).

I can't wear my black shirts because of afore-mentioned reasons, and my black jeans are too tight for my taste. At least I still have my boots, and even if I can't wear black, I can at least make everything else I have black or dark-colored. Now that I think about it, I think even if I could wear it I'd eventually get tired of everything being solid black – I like blue too much, you see.

It also helps if you yell "DOOR'D!" while doing it.
