the people who love the the PT are the same people who;
1. love boy bands (like N-Sync, Back Street Boys, Korn, Limp Bizcut).
2. think the leaf blower is a great and practical invention.
3. are in love with Britany Spears, Jessica Simpson, Mariah Carey
4. think that having money gives you 'class'
5. watch reality TV
6. aspire to be like the inbread hicks that star in reality TV
7. have now discovered how pop music works thanks to American Idol, and still don't have a problem with it
8. think that the top 40 chart is based on sales on not the other way around
9. think that Jennifer Lopez has talent in any other area than being a filthy overpaid whore!

Qui Gon as a ghost is kinda a bad idea. It would have been better had he made an appearance as an apparition in Episode II. Bringing him back in Episode III is just kinda weird.

Not that it matters.

Especially since half the audience has forgotten who Qui Gon is and what he did.

They're bringing Qui Gon back as a ghost in Episode III?

Hmm, I'm sure that will come in handy for the story... dry.gif

I think with all these extra unnecessary characters and cameos, Star Wars is turning into a soap opera. Episode II certainly felt like one.

that's just dumb...

Obi-wan came back in ghost form because luke needed him.

who needs Qui-Gon? Obi-wan's already failed the one thing he was entrusted to do, so there could be little helpful advice now unless it's "push him in the lava"

and Annikan? "I'm so confused... what i need right now is the advice from some dead guy i met for like a day when i was 6!"

Yeah, but the Qui-Gon action figure with real luminesence it going to be just fantastic. I think it wil be the key to the whole toy line and if they get that one right then the market will just open wide up.

at an antique store recently I saw a boxed qui-gon figure from TPM. remember the ones where you'd line up 12 inch QG, Obi-wan and Darth Maul and they'd all battle each other? what a waste of plastic.

Incidentally - what the hell is the matter with action figures these days?

Does anyone remember the original Kenner figures? They were a nice small nice and looked a lot like the people they were supposed to look like.

But now, they have these Hasbro action figures that are enormous and everyone looks like Hulk Hogan - even Threepio!

the dealer I got my power droid figure from, he's p.o.'d at hasbro/lucas for saturating the market in the late '90's. he calls them action figures "on steroids."

I saw they're coming out with MORE baby star wars figures now.

It's an awful trend of escalating stupidness....

I do like the term "action figures on steroids" by the way. cool.gif

was that the "300th" star wars figure, of Boba? I recall passing on it at the Wal-mart 3 or 4 years ago, and wondering if I'd regret it one day. It seemed that it was a very 3d version with a "legends of batman" style backpack. come to think of it, the Legends of Batman may have inspired the star wars gang to bulk up.

Maybe the lovely people at Hasbro haven't actually seen a Star Wars movie....

.... or a normally proportioned human being.
