Fancy that, who would have guessed that this flight of stairs would jump from out of nowhere right under her feet... What an unfortunate, accident.

Yes, and the fact that she ran right in front of the bullet from this high caliber sniper rifle... Two such accidents in one day. How... Unfortunate.

This is unbelievable. Is it really so hard to sit back and say "This person is not good for me, I should stop associating with them"? I see no one to blame here but yourself. Stop bowing down to this horrid human being and walk away. I was very recently in a situation that bears resemblance to yours, with a few key differences:
1) It only happened once, because I had the brains to walk.
2) I didn't get depressed, I got angry. Don't turn into a mopey little git about this nonsense, get good and pissed off. Work it out of your system however you normally do when you're mad, and get on with it.
3) I moved on.
Quit letting this idiot run your life and knock off the overdramatic bullshit.

I know. Thats what I'm supposed to do. But I havent been doing it because, well, frankly I love the girl. And I was never with someone this long (3 years) so I dont know how to deal with it. I thought she was it, you know? The girl who was going to bear my children and be my wife. Silly me. It's tough, man. Especially for a guy like me, because when I fall in love I fall hard. But like I said, I realize its over. And even if she does try to come back into my life, it'll never be the same again. I understand that. So, regardless of how things play out, it's a done deal. sad.gif

Though I have never actually been in a relationship, I know it is tough to overcome (some of my friends have had devestating breakups). There's no easy way to get out of it, I'm sorry to say. You might go through counseling if your having suicidal thoughts; I do not suggest on the whole drinking a lot thing, it leads to a larger depression as well as social problems. That is all I can really provide, most of the time when people say something will help, it won't.

i can spare a little sympathy, but only because i'm in an unchracterstically good mood.

a lot of friends go crawling back... and i don't understand it... i mean i know it hurts, and i have had my heart torn out but i always walk away.

you have to see things for what they are...

you need to step back and realize the parameters of what you would be entering if you went back...

i can sit here and bad mouth this cow till the others come home, but if you really love someone you look past the blantently obvious into the obscurly delusional...

so i'm going to just say. slap yourself silly, drink a whole bunch of coffee, listen to slayer, and go out and meet someone!!!

She's fucked you over and betrayed your trust. I don't know how you could still love a woman that treated you like an object to be discarded, unless you're even more co-dependant than I am. I mean, would you trust someone with a ming vase after the person plays deliberate soccer with it (and you know it's deliberate and not an accident)?

I'm afraid I must side with Heccubus.

I still say he has to get even at her for two reasons.

1. He has the right to!
2. She might learn how much of a whore she is.

Which means he panders to her level, which makes him no better.

Icey, who cares what she learns, or when? The day you decide your life isn't about teaching other people lessosn is the day you start living for yourself. Anyway, I have seen a lot of these play out in my day (I lived in residence when I went to school, and joined some student societies), and here's the thing: the guy who takes out revenge is always the asshole. Even the girls who took his side during the breakup think "ooh, what an introverted creep."

The best revenge, if you need it, is living well. Not that you should do it to get back at her, but nothing upsets an ex girlfriend more than seeing her old lapdog, stand-by boyfriend buy himself a pair of balls on ebay and get hisself the fuck into another relationship. Seriously, they fall apart when they realize that your bullshit fantasy wish-fulfillment of the perfect woman thay are really not is no longer all tied up in them. So move on for your own reasons, move on for revenge, move on as a school project, move on and sell the story rights, move on for fun and profit, move on and 10 other new hit shows, MOVE ON > MOVE ON> MOVE ON!

PS: it really IS bullshit wish fulfillment. It is impossible to love someone who hates you, unless you are a kind of narcissist. It's deluded, it's depressive, and it's just plain wrong to say you "love" someone who intentionally (or worse, by omission) hurts you, and anyone who does it is more in love with the idea of being in love than with any actual person. Mother of your children? She's barely out of high school! Gaaaaaahhhh!!!! yell.gif
"I had a lot of different ideas. At one point, Luke, Leia and Ben were all going to be little people, and we did screen tests to see if we could do that." -George Lucas, in STAR WARS: the Annotated Screenplays (p197).

That's not cool... anyways, life goes on man. If it helps, just imagine her as a bag full of flesh, bones, blood, and other fluids; that's all a human is in fact.
