-Stop making resolutions.
-find pants that fit
-take an art class
-take voice lessons
-take a sewing class
-talk about and investigate opening a deli
-play more board games
-go on a blind date
-take up yoga or something stress relieving
-become a vegetarian for a month
-stop taking crap.

I don’t usually bother with these things because I firmly believe you're just setting your self up to be knocked down making these damn things. However there are lots of things here that have too much sense to ignore so mine will be,

- Resist temptation to drop out of uni
- To stop thinking to myself I should ask this girl I like out and actually do it
- Get a part time job to better fund my drinking
- or cut down on it perhaps
- Loose the smokes completely (I've been practically off for a while now)
- Stop putting off getting my Driving licence

Heh, I got a chuckle out of that. Thanks guys.

Anyway, my new year's resolution is still intact. It's harder than it sounds honestly. Especially when you juggle around the thought that you may be manic (one of my worst fears as well; I think I should have posted that in the phobias thread). I think it's a good solid anchor for me at least. I normally don't believe in the whole resolution thing but this has been working for me for a while now. It's less to do with New Year's and more to do with actual will.

Worryingly enough, you're not far wrong. Although I have long kicked the smoking habit, both tobaccoy (mostly due to lack of money, and realising "This fucking sucks") and cannabased (a combination of girlfriendiness and the aforementioned "This fucking sucks"). Still working on the driving license thing though, cross bollocks I'll be driving within two months though.

Oh yeah, and asking girls out is a good idea. Fortunatly, I don't have to do that (having a neurotic, but otherwise perfect girlfriend), but I know how bloody scary it is. Just believe it'll all go well and then do it. Trust me, I'm an idiot

It's like Abe Simpson said "dammit you'd think this would get easier with time!"

While the smoking is gone I seem to drink more to compensate, I think I have a level of vice that I need to fill and if I can’t spread it out over lots of things it all goes into one thing.
