QUOTE
Woman takes a dopey stand
March 24, 2004

SOMETIMES it is worth standing up for principle and other times it's not.

A woman living on the northern beaches phoned police to report that her marijuana plants had been stolen.

The 23-year-old woman contacted police from her Dee Why unit on Monday morning when she made the discovery.

When police arrived on her doorstep the woman claimed two men climbed up her balcony and took some of her cannabis plants that had been growing there.

"She took police out to the balcony and showed them where her plants were," said Sergeant Mark Pennock, of Dee Why police station.

Police allege they saw two more cannabis plants in two large pots and made her aware that it was an offence to grow the plant.

"The woman said she knew it was an offence to grow marijuana but it was the principle of it," Sgt Pennock said.

That lady should pick her moments a little more carefully.

I think her "It's the principle of it" remark is the best part of the whole story. "Yes officer, I am aware that it is illegal to murder people, but it's the principle of it. He stole my lunch money."

my dad lives in Dee Why...

it's like the mafia calling the cops cause they've run out of legs to break but they really really want the protection money owed to them.
