Seal's Head Is Found in Luggage at Airport
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Published: March 21, 2004

BOSTON, March 20 (AP) — Airport security agents stopped a biologist on Friday after discovering the severed head of a harbor seal in his luggage.

The man, whose name was not released, told investigators that he was a biology professor and that he had found a dead seal on Revere Beach and cut off its head to use for educational purposes. He was flying to Denver from Logan International Airport, a Massachusetts Port Authority spokesman, Phil Orlandella, told The Boston Globe.

This story didn't turn out to be as interesting as I thought it would be when I thought they were talking about the singer.

I thought they were referring to the singer as well, which would have been far more interesting than what it turned out to be.

Wouldn't most beaches have some sort of policy against that sort of thing?

PS: North to "us Canadians" is usually the same as north to anyone else. More north than one currently is.

Yes, but they usually have a hard time enforcing it. Not to many of the patrol actually want to interrupt.

Poor seal. The mafia was just trying to make the biologist an offer he couldn't refuse.
