As much as I like old Star Wars, there have been times lately where I wonder if I would have been better off without the existence of Star Wars. It might have saved me a lot of aggravation in the long run.
What about you guys?

Do you ever wish you had never heard of Star Wars?

right until 96/97 I had no problem whatsoever with SW.
even with the 97 SE changes, I could no see what was about to happen.
I did not realize what SW had become until the end of AOTC.
Then the OT DVD ... then ROTS, Then I found chefelf's site
Directly answering your question, I have fond memories of my childhood with all the SW toys and comics. I like having SW for that, even know watching the O-OT.
I just want to forget the new stuff.
But I kind feel sad for what might have been, I mean, in the 80's, everybody wanted to know how Vader become Vader. And the funny thing is, as far as I'm concerned, I still don't know!
