Star was there to promote ‘Paris Hilton’s Jewel Jam’ video game

LOS ANGELES - Paris Hilton unveiled her new video game on Thursday, but inexplicably called it by the wrong name as she greeted throngs of fans and photographers.

Wearing a green minidress and red platform pumps, Hilton made a brief appearance at the Electronic Entertainment Expo to promote “Paris Hilton’s Jewel Jam.”

“Sorry I’m late,” the heiress said. “I’m really excited to have my new video game, ‘Diamondquest.’ Thank you all for coming, and you can download the game,” she said.

After Hilton arrived, men in business suits jockeyed for space with reporters and computer geeks as she sat at a table posing for photographers while signing autographs.

Her game, which can be played on a cell phone, will be available this summer. Video game maker Gameloft will produce a series of video games with Hilton.

The expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center showcases the latest innovations in the video game industry.

Yes, I read that the games industry was recently told to grow up from nudity due to losses in sales.

I am still looking where to download the game but I can only find a picture and a video. All I see at the moment is a regular game of diamonds with her onto as a logo, and for the video, they seem to use the works from that Mario game.

Until I have seen the plot and a detailed view, a game of Tetris looks more interesting to me compared to that.

So then, God. Kurt Cobain, James Dean, and Jannis Joplyn all deserved to die, and yet you can't find it in your omnipotent heart to kill the one celebrity whos existence serves absolutely no purpose?

I do not know exactly what purpose she serves in the game but after seeing the preview, it does not look like much.

The video I saw:

(1) The modelling of the characters looks poor, for the cut out pictures of people.

(2) The objects in the video such as the bus, stop sign and money bag, seems to make no sense to me.

(3) If I had a picture of someone at the side of a Tetris game, what difference would that make to my perfomance of the game play?

(4) They copy the works from Super Mario and the sound in the preview video.

(5) If that is the case for the rest of it, for copying or editing other people's work, how can it be called her game? Let alone she called it the wrong name at her appearance and as to above, it appears they did not put much effort into it.

Oh come on now. How can you compare Janis Joplin to Paris Hilton. Joplin contributed what are now classic pieces of art and history to the human race. So did Cobain for that matter (don’t know about James Dean so much since film isn’t something I know anything about). What in gods name has Paris done for humanity, other than provide one more reason why we should all commit Hara-Kiri.
