First of all, if you liked ( and enjoyed, and would watch again with pleasure!!!!) : The Fantastic Four, Batman and Robin, and/or Electra/Daredevil
Get the hell away!

For the rest of us, how many super-hero movies can Hollywood pump out its ass!!!!
I'm talking about the comic book ones (such as Superman, Batman, Spiderman...ect...) not The Incredibles okay?
I just saw The FF: I was utterly shocked, I mean I liked FF, I read the comics from time to time, when they appeared in Spiderman.
But the movie sucked! (accept for Jessica Alba... I kinda wished she would accidently re-appear when naked, that would have livened the movie wink.gif )

I'm tired of this comic-movie bullshit!!!!
Now, i donot mean: Batman Begins, Spiderman 2, and.... wait, the rest are pretty much shit!!!! (I forgot X-Men, but they're mutants..... but I guess Spiderman is too so.... That was a good movie!)
I've notice that studios have been pumping out these computerized movies, like nothing, and its getting me pissed!!!

EACH OF THESE heros (I'm talking to you Daredevil!) deserve a "good" movie
They're all pretty cool, but what the hell!!!!!

I think that in the persuit of making money, studios have puked out shit movies (Much like another director, I used to like who had a great film franchise but then made another trilogy shitting on his legacy just for money, now I wonder who that is???)

I want good comic-book movies.... At least there's hope for Superman returns, and Spiderman 3.................

i give Fatastic 4: a 4 out of 10..... Needed more Doc Doom

A naked chick isn't going to make a movie better in any way shape or form. I think through that comment alone? People are just going to shrug off most of your opinions on these movies.

But you do have a point, Hollywood and them are just pumping CGI / special effects flick after CGI / special effects flick, and it's not just limited to superhero films. To me, almost any film aimed towards a 10-35 age group is crammed with this crap.

Well, first, I think he was saying Jessica Alba would have livened up the movie, not made it better. It was a boring movie. Except for the bits with Julian McMahon, then I can pretend I am watching Charmed.

But aside from defending a dumb comment out of boredom, Hollywood is making crap movie after crap movie.

All these superhero movies sprung out, when Spider-Man became a box-office smash.

There have been a few good movies based on comic books, since this surge began. I found X2, Sin City and Batman Begins to be well-written. HOWEVER, that being sid, the rest of them range from "a decent attempt," like the afformentioned Spider-Man, to just plain "NO," like the aformentioned Daredevil, Fantastic 4, Catwoman and Hellboy.

And, trust me, this fad isn't going away anytime soon. Ironman, Ghost Rider, Captian America, Superman Returns, Wonder Woman, a Punisher Sequel, an X-Men sequel, a Spider-Man sequel, AND a Batman Begins sequel are all slated for the next two years, and that's just after a skim over on IMDb. Who knows what other comic movies they might have.

...

I thought the F4 was okay. Seriously, it could have been worse. The worst parts about it were the stupid ass one liners and the horrible acting from Reed Richards and Susan Storm.

And I'm waiting for X3. I hope it'll be as good as X2.

The good comic book movies like Batman Begins or Sin City are really good, but the bad comic book movies are REALLY bad like Elektra, Daredevil and Hulk.

And I liked Fantastic Four. Watching it was a good way to waste a Saturday. smile.gif
Sorry, you won't be seeing a smartass sig here. Try with the next poster.

absolutley...

doom is my favorite comic book bad guy!!! and i was quite happy witht the performance we got from the son of a former prime minister of australia.

the movie was exactly like the cartoon. basic dialogue, clumsy set ups, and overall corniness... but it was worth seeing just for DOOM!!!

the only adeptations from comic book i have liked so far, are the X-men movies, batman begins, sin city, the crow (only the first one), and i didn't mind Hellboy (although i don't think it really covered adequate ground).

the spiderman CGI annoys me but they're okay...

and i loved superman as a kid, and christopher reeves left some rather big shoes to fill... he really fit the bill perfectly.

but all these comic book adeptations don't bother me as much as the classic horror remakes that keep comming out...

hollywood's so fucking scared of taking risks these days...
if it's not going to make them a kagillion dollars they won't back an idea... so they wont back anything new, they like remakes because those movies were succesful the first time around...

there are so many written novels and fantasy series out there but no ones biting.

seriously... LOTR was huge... so why not go after michael moorecocks Elric series or 'game of thrones' (or wjhatever it's called that EVERYONE is reading)... what the fuck...? why did they give up on that so quickly???

fucking hollywood!!!

what about 'basic instinct' or 'body of evidence'?
nudity's improoved pleanty of films...

i know most porn films would suffer greatley from the removal of nudity....

I'd like to see some of the David Gemmell books made into movies.

yeah, by the sounds of it, if they've even started, they are only doing one of the books. or at least starting with book 2. and that sucks...

I thought "The Punisher" started off well. I really tried to like it. But having Rebecca Stamos as a single waitress girlfriend was a horrible example of miscasting. The two dweeb neighbors pandered to certain comic book geeks who are always searching for a hero or vindication. John Travolta was horrible...as usual. The russian goon reminded me of popeye. The movie was floating somewhere between reality and fantasy and doing neither well. The next one needs to be placed firmly in a realistic world. Save the fantasy for superhuman heroes.

The russian goon reminded me of Dolph Lundgren, ironically, the star of the earlier Punisher film.

I think I'll wait till this Fantastic Four movie hits DVD, mostly because I can't Jessica Alba.

To be honest, I kind of want this Superman Returns movie to flop. The casting of Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane is enough to make me hate this film.

Elektra was terrible, as was Catwoman.

I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an obi-wan to go.
