Well, it has to be said that I'm not a fan of medical dramas. ER, Casulty, no no no no no. And it can sort of be said that I wasn't really a fan of Hugh Laurie, seeing as his one trick seemed to be "the idiot", unles you count Johnsons advert voiceovers, where he is "man with silly voice". But then House came along.
Oh my life. Hugh Lauries a rude, sarcastic, highly abrasive, yet fucking genius diagnostic doctor! He hates everyone! He knows that everyone lies! He can tell that someones got a termite infestation by cutting up a dead cat!
Plus, there's some damned complicated symptoms that turn out to be diseases 8/10ths of the population know, huge numbers of women lusting after the protagonist with the nifty cane (including an 80 year old woman in one episode, hilariously), and enough sarcasm to give Yahtzee a hernia!
Currently, I'm trying to download the second series, but from what I've gathered, they've got the nigh-on-unthinkable Romantic Subplot thrown in, so I'm very worried...

Nope, all I knew he did was Blackadder, the Johnsons adverts, and Jeeves and Worster, which was, to be blunt, quite bad.
That, and a five minute appearence in Friends, but it besmirches my character that I checked that up...

HAving watched a large chunk of series two now, I have to say that the first series is, in fact, better. There's much more of a sense of revealation with the new actual illnesses (smoking pot contaminated with radioactive chemicals vs. a really, really small tumour... that's a toughie), and lets not get started on the affair with his ex wife...
