$1 million bill leads to arrest
Wednesday, March 10, 2004

COVINGTON, Georgia (AP) -- A Georgia woman who tried to use a fake $1 million bill to buy $1,675 worth of merchandise at Wal-Mart was arrested, and police later found two more of the bills in her purse.

The U.S. Treasury does not make $1 million bills, but similar-looking currency is sold in some souvenir shops. The fake bill featured a picture of the Statue of Liberty, police said.

Their first hint would have been the fact that someone with $1 million was shopping at Wal-Mart.

you missed a part

Pike then tried to use two gift cards worth only $2.32 to buy the merchandise, but when that did not work she again asked to cash the $1 million bill, Cotton said. The store then called police.

oh sorry you don't take monopoly money? how about a used gift card..oh not those either...monopoly money again?

Weren't we just talking abou this the other day. Why do they make $50 and $100 bills when you can't even use them anywhere? No place takes them. If you can't pass a legitimate $50 bill at Wal-Mart then how are you going to pass a fake $1,000,000 bill?

Also, it may be a possibility that your average Wal-Mart location won't be able to make change for a million.

Yeah, I think that one would have an easier time with a mill bill than I ever do when I try and buy ANYTHING with a 50 or a hunj.

$1million dollar bill is a great idea. especially if you want to purchase 4 Lamborgini diablos in one day.

I know that US mint produce a $1000 dollar bill if only for display as well as a $100 000 dollar bill in the late 70s early 80s.

Ahhh yes but those were simpler times, when the streets were paved with gold and the rivers flowed with Japanese Businessmen.

imagin mugging someone for their wallet, then when got back home to your muggers mansion, finding a million dollar bill in the wallet you stole.

they say, capital punisment is a great derrent for crime, buy if every mugger found a million dollar bill, i'm sure he'd be born again!

and let's face it, everyone els who'se already rich right now is a criminal of some sort annyway, so it won't be so bad making muggers rich as well - right kids!!!
