Helena speaks the truth. Always has.

And speaking of JYAMG, where is he? I haven't seen him around here in a while.

shouting at people to fuck off and out of chefelf was JYAMG's gig, not Helenas. I just remember her being more rational is all.

Despodant- regardless of what his original intentions were, the seeing the story through the eyes of the droids thing is only present in ANH.

Yeah, well, it's funny how 'rationality' tends to go straight out the window when someone calls you a 'mind-numbing freak' with no opinion of your own, especially when you're hearing kind of bullshit for the 37th time and you've already refuted it 36 times. And this certainly isn't the first time I've yelled at morons like him on this forum, so you must just not have been paying attention. I've never told you to fuck off, but that's because your arguments - ridiculous as I consider most of them to be - have at least avoided a) whining about how much we bash everything here and b) personal insults. I keep wanting to come back as a regular poster, but every time I try, someone like him pops up to remind me of exactly why I left.

I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

Is KOTOR part of the six films, or is it EU? How come it's ok for bashers to cite the EU, but if I mention something out of the EU, it's considered not canon? I think GL says a lot of things like this for a good reason: To make you ask questions. Lucas is probably sitting at Skywalker Ranch reading this forum right now laughing his ass off at questions like these... not that it isn't a good question, but it stands to reason that he probably says things just to get people all riled up. Just like the fact that he said ROTS will be the last SW film ever... riiiiiight.

To me, KOTOR is more apart of Star Wars than the PT. It was far superior in every respect.

How come that little yoda looking fucker from KOTOR is a Whill but Yoda isn’t. That’s retarded. George Lucas cant even keep his own universe straight. GENIUS! rolleyes.gif

Breaking out the flamethrower and giving it to a guy who was making a general comment that wasn't even aimed at you in the first place is something I would consider to be unrational, yes. Put that down to just another one of my ridiculous arguments though if you want.

It may not have been aimed at me in particular, but it was aimed at people who bash Lucas and the prequels, and I happen to be one of them. Just because it wasn't directly addressed to anyone doesn't make it any less of a personal attack. Trying to claim that it wasn't intended to insult me - or rather, me and all the other bashers - is, indeed, a ridiculous argument.

Well, the integrity of the saga has suffered, that's for certain.

Jariden, I'm not going to keep playing ping-pong on this, but I have a pretty good memory. And I clearly recall GL citing that all of the movies would contain the two droids, as the saga would be told through their eyes. I could argue further that he altered the deal by including virtually every other vital OT character in the new movies, removing said significance.

If you're going to cite ANH as being the singular example, then please be consistent and go back to the days when it was the only film. It was called: Star Wars.

Seems to me 3PO did a little storytelling in another film....

This is a basher's forum. Maybe Chef can make an area where you and Jejef and Ion Eon can talk to each other about how great the pt is so that the rudeness of ignoring posts is removed from the equation.

Fine, but as we've seen from Lucas, saying and doing are two different things. All I'm saying is that personally I only think this concept (telling the story through the eyes of the droids) only really works as Lucas wanted it to (as a pastiche of those two serfs from Kurosawas Hidden Fortress) in ANH (or Star Wars if you like). If you think otherwise, fine. I'm not always looking for a fight here!

But theres a difference between sections of the story being related through the droids (and if we're talking about what Lucas was talking about, that means both droids) and the whole story being seen through their eyes. I think the reason Lucas didnt go back to it after SW was because it wasn't a particularly workable concept.

Thats just what I think. If you can show me otherwise, please.

I hear people complaining before RotS came out about why c3p0 didnt tell the story of the PT when he was at the Ewoks village. That makes me laugh thinking of him describing jar jar binks's ridiculous antics, and leia smiles at han, and snuggles into his arms.

Edit: It makes since for the Star WArs movies to be told through the eyes of WHills if they are like yoda. that is why the saga was made backwards.
