This is just another example of if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it at all. No wait, that's what my mother used to say and I never listened. What I meant to say is if you're gonna be on a show and talk crap then you better be able to receive crap. For after all, it is written "The crap giveth and the crap taketh away".
I am a devout Christian (though I don't claim to be perfect like others because who is) but even I can make fun of what I believe in because at times it is just hilarious. Especially the actions of those proclaiming Christianity and then they go and do something that just spits right in the face of their "beliefs". Like I said, I have a sense of humor about things.
I am disgusted at South park and so I don't watch it. I will say though that Matt Stone does push the envelope and bravo for him by doing so. I just have no interest in the show being a family man and all. So when I found out that the Chef VO was quitting because of these comments, I only laughed at him. First, he is playing a black guy on a show that makes racist remarks. If his belief in Scientology was pure he never would have started on the show. As long as it was making fun of the non-cult Christianity he was okay with it. As soon as it commented on Scientology it was "to the walls gentlemen, to the walls." Give me a break.
There are some things I find offensive, like using the Lord's name in vain or when the Daily Show called God a three timing whore. So I don't listen or watch the Daily Show anymore. However, like I said above there are alot of comments I can take and laugh at only to fire back. Why? Because if you can talk crap about others, then you better be able to receive it. Bottom line, if you can't, then please shut up!
