One Question: Do Texans consider state law as supreme law?

She's from... Michigan? Wisconsin? One of those mid-western states that people remember (i.e. not a Dakota or Minissota tongue.gif )

I think she can handle herself. Just you watch, one day she'll conquer us all and Salma Hayek will be there.

QUOTE (Slade @ Feb 23 2006, 02:44 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Around here, the Indians sell cheap cigarettes. For some reason, they never have to pay sales tax, so sell everything cheaper because they can buy it cheaper.

(For the record, NY Sales tax is roughly $.yourSoul per dollar. It's 9.75% in my home county, and was 8.25% everywhere else, last I checked. And nobody ever sees anything done with all of this tax money, as far as I can tell.)

The native reserves here are a goldmine for cheap smokes too. And stop whining about your 9.75% sales tax. Ontario sees 15% sales tax, and I'm sure it's higher elsewhere in the world too. I am also sure that no one else sees anything happening with this extra money either.

As far as America goes, I'm not daft enough to hate on an entire country just because I don't agree with their government. Not everyone in the USA is as stupid as the ones you see on TV who know nothing about Canada (thanks for that sweeping generalization, Rick Mercer), or the ones that people take pictures of and post on the internet to make fun of. If anything, the people who actually believe that all Americans are stupid are just as bad as the minority that make up that stereotype. There's nothing really wrong with America itself, or its people, they just happen to have a government that has made some questionable decisions in the past few years.
