It's cheap. The characters are all despicable. I wanted Shinji to die a quick death after the first five minutes, same with Misato after one hour and Asuka after two hours. The rest of the staff is not even worth mentioning. The only good thing about it is that it hasn't got a happy ending, so even if it wasn't a quick one, it was still death for them.

Furthermore - it's cheap. It's one of those animes that sells good because it features one hell of a lot fan service. It was fun in D.N.A.˛ - they admitted it to be the major topic. It was fun in any other anime that did not take itself seriously or openly declared to be of the ecchi-type, but hell - they even tried to tell you that there was a deep thought behind NGE. Which is not true.

Did I mention that it's cheap? They've used some psychedellic storyline which was as boring as it could get, no real climax, just a series of events which were not even worth of being covered in 26 episodes, one lame reminiscence special and another cheap ending.

Oh yeah, and don't forget that it's cheap. The drawings are awful, even if you take into account how old this series is. And somebody really should have done his homework when it came to creating the music for it. That's one of the worst made and applied soundtracks I've ever heard - none of it helped creating an atmosphere.

Boy, I could go on like this for ever and ever... so why do you think it's good?

Heh, almost for the same reasons you didn't like it tongue.gif.
I found it interesting that all the characters are despicable and messed up in their heads. I could find a little thing or two of myself in any of them, of the things that I don't like about me. I like all that psychocrap they pull during the whole series. I'll agree that it can get a little slow sometimes, though. The episode in which Shinji is inside the angel is next to unbearable.
I liked the drawings, I liked the soundtrack...
I guess we just have different opinions. Except for killing Shinji, of course. I would have killed that shitty wimp in the second or third episode.

Elated Moment: I got CHICKENS! I’m so excited! I’ve got 8 chicks and 5 adults that are already laying eggs. I’m so excited. I eat organic eggs for breakfast every morning and now I don’t have to buy anymore. I just have to go outside and get em. *excited squeal* laugh.gif

No, but some of my friends do. I just happened to be spending the week there when the big chickens-wrecking-the-house fiasco occured... pinch.gif

the only thing they like more than birds is birds that suck at flying...

They would, but they'd most likely fail. Penguins are too frikkin' sly to be defeated be mere cats.

Yeah penguins would whup some serious kitty ass.

Some of my younger cats already started chasing the chickens. I don’t think they can hurt them though. I’ve seen chickens beat up on the kitties before, back when my aunt had some. The only think I’m worried about is her (my aunt who lives next door) stupid dog. I saw him stealing chickens from the guy down the road. I ran out and rescued the chicken and it ended up being ok. Right now the chickens are in a chicken coup thing that I built yesterday. Its ghettofabulous for sure, but its keeping the kitties out so I shouldn’t have to worry about their stupid dog.

Rejoicing: By this time tomorrow, I'll be home, with my computer and food and suger and my cat. As long as I can avoid browning my shorts in my Dutch test (cref: complaining), I'm home and dry.

EDIT: Fucking. Aced. That. Oral. Test. So that's another round of rejoicing then.

Rejoice-ment: I got my grades for the midterm back today. Two A's, two A-'s, and my physics grade went up to a B- which was honestly more than I could have ever hoped for.

And, after having missed a week of school, I'm caught up in just about everything.

Except physics.

... What's an organic egg? 0.o Have I been eating eggs made of tin or covered in pesticides my whole life?

EM: I'm still alive, and I can eat a warm lunch every day. There's also some obnoxiously sappy and mushy stuff that I won't share out of respect of all of your stomachs, but I will say that it's going well. tongue.gif
