A frind of mine has been hassleing me to read this series for quite a while now, and finnally just bought the first book for me. i've been avoiding reading anything at all cost while working on my own, and now that i've finished writing the first book, and that i'm on editing detail, i can afford to start something new... unfortunatley the only time i can really get a way with reading is on the bus... and that's only like 15 pages a day monday to friday on the days i get a seat, and it's not raining or i don't get a lift. so this will take a while, especially as i'll be on holdidays soon...

So far i got past the prolgue and into the first chapter... it's got my attention so far.

anyone else reading/read this?

I've seen it in the book store before and it looked good. I'd like to hear about it too.
Apparently writing about JM here is his secret weakness. Muwahaha!!!! Now I have leverage over him and am another step closer towards my goal of world domination.

"And the Evil that was vanquished shall rise anew. Wrapped in the guise of man shall he walk amongst the innocent and Terror shall consume they that dwell upon the Earth. The skies will rain fire. The seas shall become as blood. The righteous shall fall before the wicked! And all creation shall tremble before the burning standards of Hell!" - Mephisto

Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.

i only just started the second chapter after the prologue, so i still don't really know what it's about yet...

my friend couldn't seem to explain it to me, without ruining it...
(i personally think he was being lazy, but as he bought it for me i wasn't going to give him greif about it).

It's on my shelf to read when I get some spare time to start it. I just don't know when that;s going to be at the moment.

Oh and I'd say first sign of madness and all that, but we already know...

I absolutely love this series! I picked it up because Ree Yees from the Basher's Sanctuary was pushing it, and since I hadn't read any newer Fantasy novels for a long damn time, I figured I might as well.

Now I've started reading the third book, "A Feast for Crows." Brilliant! Just brilliant! At first I was a little put off by the sex in the books, but then it became apparent why he put it in and why it was important. I'm a fan for life. I hope Martin can keep it together, but as long as he has solid characters like Tyrion, Jaime, John Snow, even Arya, I'll keep reading.

Battle for the Galaxy--read the "other Star Wars"

All I know is I haven't seen the real prequels yet.

so anyway i'm plowing through 'A Storm of Swords vol 2' now...

awsome stuff!!!

i read anytime i get the chance, which isn't often, but to work, from work, lunch break, toilet break, nobody's looking break, etc.

seriously people, get into it.

...another point though, i'm really annoyed that the regualar (small) paperback edition of 'feast for crows' doesn't come out until september 27... which means if i want to keep reading i have to buy the big one, which;
1. costs more.
2. is big and won't fit in my overcoat pocket
3. will be a bitch to read on the bus
4. will fuck up my collection by being way bigger on the shelve next to its brothers.
