You're all beautiful. I think it looks dumb when 18-20ish guys grow facial hair in hopes they look older and won't get carded.

I wish to second the "you're all beautiful" motion, on the grounds that its true.

I had facial hair when I was 18-20ish but it had nothing to do with getting carded and EVERYTHING to do with being too lazy to shave.

Chef...

fu man chu? a fu man chu must flow from the top, and not grow from the sides of the chin...

what you have there, is a lemmyesque set of biker monkey bars!!!

All those pics of me were just interviews, I don't hang out with famous people...
I'm friends with a few actors and musicians, but that's it.

what i want to know is how the hell you met Bruce Campbell???

It's really weird actually, my mother went out with a a well know newsreporter and a rather famous (at the time) radio DJ...
I wonder what her deal was? I only just got thinking about it recently...

now that i've seen your face... I does actually look a fair bit like yr oold av.

Supes, you look EXACTLY as I pictured you. (Which is to say, of course, very handsome.  wink.gif )

Why don't you two get a room?

... NO WAIT!! cool.gif

Man ! That would be like the fastest way to kicked off this forum I'm sure.

Aside from that I have this rule I like to live by... never cheat on the forum owner with his girlfriend. Up until this point it had been a completely useless rule. Thanks for providing me a justification for my silly rules Nate. biggrin.gif

Supes took me by surprise. I remember you talking about playing rugby and AFL awhile back, so I expected you to be a bit more, well, build I guess. But other then that, you look sort of similar to what I imagined. Got to ask, though, why didn't you apply for a role as an agent in The Matrix?

Yeah I'm built more for running and AFL. I played fullback and wing in Rugby. My personal preference was 400m sprinting. Despite being lean I'm fairly muscular - but there will be no photos to prove that statement.

Funny you should ask about the Matrix, because I did infact send photo and resume in to the production unit but did not get any response. Not really sure why. biggrin.gif I also went to a casting call for the Agent Smith doubles, however, if you were not 6'2" exactly you were turned back out the door. I found this quite funny as I've run into Hugo Weaving quite a few times and he is my exact height which is less than 6'2".

I'm presently more perturbed at why Warner Bros have not responded to my request to play Superman in the up coming film. I mean their moaning about not being able to find someone to play the lead... I'M RIGHT HERE WB!!!!. It was good enough for them to go for an unknown like Chris Reeve, it should be good enough for them to stick to a winning formula. Just a little self indulgence there people. Back to normal now. wink.gif

I don't know much about Superman at all, but isn't there something said about that role being cursed? huh.gif

Oh that's what they say. Let's see what the score is currently:

1. Christopher Reeves became a quadraplegic after falling off his horse.
2. Margot Kidder had a neervous breakdown.
3. Richard Prior now has multiple sclerosis.
4. George Reeve was found dead of a single gunshot wound to the head in 1959. The cause of death was listed as suicide, though controversy swirled around the death: Reeves' prints were never found on the gun, and he'd been having an affair with the wife of MGM exec Eddie Mannix.
5. Kirk Alyn played Superman in the 1948 series but failed to sustain a movie career (not sure you could call that the curse though - he wasn't very good.
6. Bud Collyer was the voice for Superman in the early 1940's comic series and also returned to do the voice in the 1960's. He died of a circulatory ailment a couple of years after reprising this role.

Now given the 66years that the character has been around - I call it coincidence and thus have no fear of the curse. biggrin.gif

Well, being of the scientific bent myself, I judge curses to be rubbish and say you should go for the role. Chain yourself to WB gates until they relent!

And A-N, I don't have to worry about being carded as in Australia the legal age is 18 smile.gif If I so wished, I could have all the alcohol my poor body(and wallet)can handle. But as it is, I'll just stick to my binge drinking habits.

Supes: The odds look bad to me, superstitious or no. And if you were playing the Man of Steel, when would you have time to post?

As to the abomination that was growing on Chefelf's face in that G. Love picture, it may be the worst facial hair ever. I support neat and attractive facial hair on men passionately, but that fu manchu disaster was a blight on the landscape.

You raise a very good point there Jen that I hadn't fully thought through. Perhaps I could include that in my contract - 2 hrs per day to post on Chefelf. As it stand my current job makes it hard to post regularly as I have limited access to the net. I'm hoping to find a way around it, but it's still early days.

I have home access, but as I don't spend that much time at home except for sleeping hours it also makes it quite difficult. These are the trials that are here to test us I suppose.

As to the Fu Manchu - I think it's important that Chef has had the chance to go through this stage. Any man who has to go through the rigour of shaving every day can empathize. There comes a time where you just have to let it go for a while and suffer the consequences. It's a real ordeal this shaving business and from time to time we lads need to take a break. It's a sanity check really.
