Hell may not have frozen over just yet, but I've decided to quit smoking either way. It's now been over 24 hours since I last had a cigarette, and so far so good. I've had minimal cravings, at best, and it looks like I might actually have a shot at kicking the habit once and for all.

Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.

Good on you. I knew a guy who quit smoking because he was on a camping trip and forgot to bring them with him. If all else fails... go camping!

Lies. After 3 days you can kid yourself about quitting, but you always end up having one at the pub and go back on the wagon.

My dad's tried to quit for years and spends a month being irritable and grumpy and generally unpleasant and then gives up...

I hope you're better at it, Hecc. It's really a pretty gross thing to do, and unhealthy besides.

But back to my dad, and in regards to the health thing, he's smoked since age 14 (now 54), and his lungs are clean according to a very recent physical...

Maybe he's an annomolly (totally has to be spelled wrong) or something. Perhaps he smokes in a way that does not affect his health. Don't see how its possible though.
