ok all the folks that have seen ET will know why the ETs fit in the phantom waste...on halloween when they dress ET up like a ghost, he sees a midget in a yoda costume and starts yelling "phone home, phone home." Thus, ET knows yoda and resides in the star wars universe. my guess is that he was one of the senators that we see in the phantom menace and possibly a pupil of yoda. anyway, not only does our galaxy exist in the star wars universe but also at the same time. now since the movie ET recognizes that STAR WARS ANH exists the only thing i can think of is that the OT and PT are documentaries of events that really happened. this is a historic discovery, spread the word...the implications are monumental, for one we can learn the Force...it exists...
It seems like everyone is over the nitpicking. Too bad.

They have the technology to go at the speed of light. I would like to think that it was still far away. Perhaps they were touring nearby galaxies. Perhaps they planted these ideas into the heards of various writers and such, but by the time the PT has come about most of the memories have faded away. That would be a wonderful explanation for many of the works that have come out recently.
As for learning the ways of the force, maybe nobody's blood has had a high medichlorian count.

Apparently writing about JM here is his secret weakness. Muwahaha!!!! Now I have leverage over him and am another step closer towards my goal of world domination.

Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.

Then why didn't ET recognize the little Star Wars action figures that Elliot was showing him? I believe if ET was a member of the Senate he would have had a simular reaction upon seeing the Ithorian (Hammerhead) or the Rhodian (Greedo). I'm not sure if he showed Greedo to him or not, but I am pretty sure he showed Hammerhead.

Well, not that I actually believe this, but that would be Spielburg's fault.

Isn't there some sort of copyright infringment that Spielberg could claim against Lucas ?
I mean LucAss obviously used the ET figure in his movie TPM , thend sold that movie to make millions.
I would sue ...

I forgot about that scene. That certainly puts an interesting spin on the whole ET travesty.
Yet more proof that Lucas had this all planned out 30 years ago.

It also puts an interesting political spin on the ET movie.
If he was a senator in the galactic empire, maybe they left him here on purpose.
Part of Palpatine's plan to take over the senate?
Guess he made it back to late...

(there's also a reprise of the Yoda theme during that ET/"Yoda" scene)
With the re-release of ET a few years back, and government agents holding phones not guns; maybe for the future DVD of ET, in the ET / Elliot scene "this is the fish food, this is Greedo, this it Hammerhead..." Elliot could say "... but Revenge of the Sith was better than the first two!"

perhaps he could have PT senate figures...
Eliot: "this is chancelor valorum, senetor palpatine, Acting Chancelor Jar Jar, Senator ET, counc... hey... wait a minute...!"
