Oh, ok. So what's the plural of paparazzi? Paparazzi or Paparazzis?

Pepperoni.

Okay, it wasn't that funny.

Anyway, if I was a celebrity, I'd make a public announcement stating: "If you insist on watching my every move, take a small time out of your day to do these things: 1st, go watch your elderly neighbor for a whole day. Follow her every move, and try to watch her 24/7. Exciting? No. That's the same thing you're doing with me, except I'm not old. If you still feel like watching me after this, know that you're just fucking stupid and I hate you."

women buy them.

which means women endorse murder.

therefore, women are evil.

i know no men that give two @#$%s about a celebrities private life.

I think it's annoying, but if people are stupid enough to buy the magazine type things, then it's really their fault that they waste their money. The celebrities are definitely the victims here- along with the stupid people who buy the magazines, though they're also victims of their own stupidity... Hmmm... Actually, I think we need to draw a blame web.

Note: I do, in fact, kind of know what I'm talking about because I read half of a magazine about celebrities once. I got bored pretty quickly with article after article about what clothes people were wearing, and I make unpleasant retching sounds while viewing pictures of many female celebrities, so people in the grocery line started staring at me and I had to put the magazine back in the rack.
"YOU'RE MISSING A PERIOD. YOU THINK IT'S FUNNY, DON'T YOU? YOU THINK IT'S FUNNY THAT YOU FUCK WITH GRAMMAR? WELL, FUCK YOU AND FUCK YOUR MISSING PERIOD! I HOPE IT MEANS YOUR SLUTTY, NON-PUNCTUATED WAYS HAVE GOTTEN YOU TEEN-PREGNANT!"

Magazines and TV shows about the private lives of celebrities are stupid. I mean, who cares if a star went to the park with his girlfriend? That's normal, but people still buy them. I don't know why, but people still watch them.

This is a great question, but god knows what the answer is. Are the lives of modern day man so empty that we need to live vicariously through these people we've purposefully lifted up onto our shoulders? Or is it that we feel better about ourselves when we're reminded that they're just real people like you and me? Actually, I think most people are happy having something else to fill in the meaningless hours between waking up and going to sleep.

Sort of semi related, it always makes me depressed to see a thousand people turning out to welcome some celebrity at the airport. It just seems so...demeaning. "Please glance at me for half a second Bon Jovi, please....!!!!"

Jariten, that's a depressing outlook. Even more so because there's probably some truth there!

Its the very fact that they are just people like you and me, that evokes the feeling in me that I couldn't give a monkey's toss about where they've gone shopping or who they've cheated on with whom.

There are genuinely interesting famous people out there, who are worth reading about, if people would just take the time.

Celebrities do a relatively easy job (compared to bricklayers and scientists) and they make a ton of money. They deserve to have their life scrutinized. But even though they have it coming, I don't think it should happen because America has become a disgusting celebritocracy.
And we want to be free to ride our machines without being hassled by the man! And we want to get loaded!

So, people who have easy jobs deserve to be scrutinized? I see no logic in that.

Rich people don't deserve to be scrutinized.

They deserve to DIE

EDIT: Does "deserve to be..." make sense. It sounds wrong.

Doesn't that count as being scrutinised? Did I just forget the meaning of scrutinised? Find out next time, on Post 6666 theater.

I think that people who get paid huge sums of money even if they do a shit job, should not be getting that money. At the very least, it should be given to charity. Think about everyone else that basically supports you rather than holding up enough money to support the next five or so generations of your family. Let them actually work for something.

disclaimer:This was written under the bias that most rich people basically suck.

Apparently writing about JM here is his secret weakness. Muwahaha!!!! Now I have leverage over him and am another step closer towards my goal of world domination.

"And the Evil that was vanquished shall rise anew. Wrapped in the guise of man shall he walk amongst the innocent and Terror shall consume they that dwell upon the Earth. The skies will rain fire. The seas shall become as blood. The righteous shall fall before the wicked! And all creation shall tremble before the burning standards of Hell!" - Mephisto

Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.
