you need to get that gambling skill over 100...

i found a character editor... and maxed out all my attributes for a laugh...

it was pretty interesting because you pretty much have every option open to you, so you find anything you missed...

i haven't played in a while... but next time, i'm going to do the game as a complete junkie drug fiend...

I remember the Bridge of Death joke in Fallout 2. I can't remember a time I laughed so hard while playing a game.

I thought that that time machine was more like the TARDIS than Star Trek's time warps when I was reading about it.

Do you know how hard that song was to find? I think I ended up getting a program to convert fallout sound files into mp3's, which meant it was all crackly.

Ultimate tactic to make the game easier for a while: As soon as you can survive the journey, go to San Francisco, enter the tanker, and steal the Gauss rifle off one of the vagrants. Might take a few attempts, but worth it, in my opinion, that's the most useful weapon in the game. She also has around a hundred bullets for it, so you can use it before tough fights.

Meyh, you don't need it. Just wander down, scope out Navaro and drop back at the BoS to get the Power Armour MKII. The game is a breeze with that.

one constant... always put everything you got on unarmed combat.
once you got that covered, remaining APs are always usefull. (unless your an AC nancy)

I found melee was uselss unless the enemies actually run up to you. It's too much effort chasing them down. Easier to just shoot them.

Dunno, I found that the game got a lot easier when my level 5 sniper wannabe started using a Gauss instead of the flintlock rifle. Your weapon of choice counts especially on tough combat difficulty setting, in which the guards at the Enclave can blow the crap out of you in one combat round if you're not careful.

sime, i think you'll find that once you shoot a man's eyes out, it won't be long before he realises that ranged combat is no longer his specialty, and comes running blind at you... and it's at times like that you want to be able to deliver a fatal groin kick.

hmmm... someone should make that their signature...

But at that point, they're not too dangerous anymore, you can focus on the rest of the baddies. It's enough to just pop 'em in the head with a rake or something. (COUGHJackhammerCOUGH)

i don't know... in a world full of projectiles, aliens, mutans, assault rifles, support weapons and explosives... there's just something really cool about punching someone the fuck out.

Yeah, once you've blown somebody's eyes out, they may as well be dead. Though I have to say, snapkick to the groin is always fun. It may have gotten me disqualified from the boxing ring, but it was worth it tongue.gif

Dunno, the kung fu massacre in San Francisco provided me with enough unarmed fighting, more than I'd bargained for. Never raised it above 100, I'm guessing it gets very lethal at 300.
