I got severe back and neck pains this morning. I can't move my neck to the right size. It is getting worse.

then the next morning when i should have been unconcious from alcohol poisoning but was just trying to sleep in as i'm still recovering from glandular fever.... 2 assholes from the RTA (Au:DMV sort of) were down stairs to clear the road for some celbration regarding the harbour bridge... but instead of quietly towing away the illigeally parked vehicles the thought it would be a good idea to stand out the front of three apartment buildings and many house, early in the morning after St.Patrick's Day, beeping their horns to try and attract the attention of those who owned the vehicles... people were on their balconies wondering WTF was going on... a few people appraoched them but were ushered away so i went down and had this conversation:

ME: Excuse me.
RTA: yeah
ME: Are you part of some international conspiracy to make sure I NEVER FUCKING SLEEP?!? I only ask becuase it seems someone is always trying to prevent me from ever catching up on sleep and I'm starting to get a little on edge. Do you really have to be beeping that horn right now, waking everyone up?
RTA: what do you want me to do? Tow all these cars?
ME: YES!! TOW ALL THESE CARS!!! I think it makes more sense than waking up the 400 people who didn't illegally park.
RTA: Alright (hooks up nearest car) Go away and let me do my job.
ME: If you were doing your godamned job I would be asleep right now, so don't give me that 'let me do my job crap'. and if i hear one more beep I will come back down and it won't end well for you.

i put in a formal complaint today, but it felt good to physically threaten someone for being a jackass on a sunday morning.

Complaint: Dang flab nabbing ridiculous shitty terrible Macromedia Director! ALMOST NOTHING EVER FUCKING WORKS, EVERYTHING THAT DOES SOMEHOW WORK WILL ARBITRARILY STOP WORKING MOMENTS LATER AARGH!

Ok, two objects created the EXACT SAME WAY, I can acess the properties of one of the objects, and not the properties of the other. I need both or everything dies. I hate this crap!

complaint: I haven't been on the forums nearly enough lately! mostly because I'm really hosed this semester. I promise I'll try to keep stopping by once in a while, though.

i have to wait 13 weeks, sober, to find out if i'm ever allowed to drink again.

i can't complain enough about this... these last three weeks have been the longest period without a drink in 10 years for me.

Jury Duty. I need to wake up at 6 in order to be in the city by 8 so I can wait three or five hours and then be told to go home since they don't need me.

Great way to spend the day after your birthday.

I sliced a bit of skin of skin off my finger today from a drive plate on a new case. They make them so stiff these days. That is the second time I cut my finger during the last new case.

you've all got me so depressed with your apathy that i'm going to...

hmmm.... what do non drinkers actually do, anyway?

also i'm not allowed coffe or curry. watching red dwarf has become somewhat painful...

Oh no! not again and just before I was about to go to sleep. That stupid fan has started mumbling again.

It is even worse this time. It sounds like a car engine with squeeks. I opened it up to put in a similar size matching fan. Didn't work because the output is 5 volts not 12 volts! Delta electronics. Shoddy crappy manufacturer from China because I had 3 HP printer power supplies all made by Delta electronics which blew inside and one printer board got damaged as a result.

Barend: Can life without excessive drinking really be all that difficult? I think I can understand the difficulty from how big a part it's apparently played in your life before, but you're really better off not dying from liver failure and not getting drunk anymore than the alternative. You need to just find something else to do. Maybe take up a new hobby, or get back into the swing of an old one?

DS: Aargh! I can sympathize with getting bad computer parts. It really is a terrible letdown.
