My dreams are always the same: zombies take over the world. I have to escape/kill the zombies. Vampires try to get me - usually do - then I have sex with a random individual in my dream. Good stuff. Oh, and I usually can fly too.

Mine never make any sense. Not even in the usual dream sense. There's a sweeping epidemic taking over the world - people everywhere are turning into cheese. Or I slowly go crazy after being adopted by the Brady Bunch. Heh.

I don't think you can say that dreams can't make sense in the context of dreams...

This morning I had some dream where myself and a group of people broke into some facility for some reason or another, and we had to get to this mainframe and operate it to achieve our goal. The computer was inside this cage (your typical iron bars thing) with no back so people could get in, and in order to get into the system, we had to solve some sort of puzzles. I was in the back of our group, which was crowded into the very small cage-computer - think four people in a small, short hallway. At some point, a fed guy showed up and I saw him, and we pointed guns at one another. He told us to give up, and I laughed at him, because we both knew that my crew could destroy the entire system when we were done if we wanted to, rendering it useless, and it was too valuable to sacrifice it.

Then I negotiated a deal that we'd help them retrieve some sort of device that was at that moment falling into hands more perilous than my gang of thieves in exchange for getting away with our loot.

Then it kinda jumped to me being with a bunch of people, and we had to cross swamp land, and they made me lead and feel nervous about stepping in the wrong areas and being blamed for soggy wetness.

Oh noes, soggy wetness! tongue.gif

I think it's fairly obvious that you have a sexual attraction for your mother, you're repressing the anger you have towards your father, you aren't getting laid enough, and you're insecure about the size of your penis. rolleyes.gif

In dreams to me, I find it interesting to match events that happen in the day to connect. Sometimes I think and feel when they day is not going to be pleasant. Usually the end of the dream starts backwards to the events that happen in the day.

Interesting types to me are nightmares and insecurity to solve, another part was for playing Unreal Tournament with people in a meeting room live, guns screen information and hud exactly in the same place, but no monitor to look at.

I saw a shop called "Mortgages and Dreams."
"Yes, it is their dream, whilst paying your mortgages to them."

Spoon: I know I'm not getting laid enough because my girlfriend is 700 miles away. But you know, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. tongue.gif And I think you're transfering the depression that stems from your lack of having a penis into me, and those reflexions of sexual frustration are really your own.

Seriously for a moment, the best way to read Freud is to just bracket everything within three sentences of the word "penis." tongue.gif

And in defense of the soggy wetness, you'd understand if you've ever had a group of 30 people irate at you for their present moderate uncomfort!

I had a really strange dream last night:

I was on this forum on the PC in my room (my room doesnt have internet connection) and I was looking at Abbeys cute "yawning kittens" post, so then I walk out and suddenly Im in one of my aunts living room and there are all these angry kittens everywhere, all shapes and sizes and all with sharp and pointy claws, they all start attacking me and I pick one up and use it as a human/feline shield, bloods going everywhere and then I wake up in a cold sweat with the matress on the floor.

I once convinced myself I had a dream that I did not. I knew what I was doing, yet I remained convinced that the dream was real. And now, I can reflect back on that and wonder to myself--am I sane or not?

As far as the forum-dream bit goes, no. I've had that kind of dream loads of time, but the evil kittens...yikes, man.

I don't think the nature of dreams can determine insanity, they're just naturally weird as hell, like a couple dreams I had this week. I can't remember much of them at this point, mostly just the ends, but in one my older brother and I were in the living room and there was something going on with people turning into zombies. Then for no reason at all we kept turning into Aziraphale and Crowley from Good Omens, then back to ourselves again, and we had to flee the house because our 28-Days-Later-Style-Zombie mother lobbed a Christmas tree at us. Then we got pissed off because she threw it off the porch at us while it was still decorated. End Dream.

Then one from last night that I'm pretty sure played twice, it was some weird-ass thing where first these characters were eating in a fancy restaurant, then there's some weird Chronicles of Narnia/Batman/Alice in Wonderland shit going on and everyone's on a chessboard, then it ends with freaking Jason Todd being some kind of evil puppet master of the whole thing, and the main female dream character is Barbara Gordon (pre-Killing Joke). He flirts with her, I wake up, the end.

And here I say: what the fuck?
Check out my crappy drawings!
