QUOTE (Kirby @ Aug 18 2005, 07:03 PM)
Oh yes! The mirror you, the manticore, fucking Death. All great bosses, shame that no one sees the beuty in 2d side scrollers nowadays.

Bah, don't you know the great FF creed? "If you can't beat it, level up" Besides end-game levels are usualy in the 60's anyways.

um, I said PS2, not Symphony of the Night, which was also a great game.

The leveling up, yeah that's what it took. I had to get about 5 more levels. I could easily kill all of the other monsters, it was so bad I almost didn't bother. I'm not a big FF player, but they are all really like that?
Apparently writing about JM here is his secret weakness. Muwahaha!!!! Now I have leverage over him and am another step closer towards my goal of world domination.

"And the Evil that was vanquished shall rise anew. Wrapped in the guise of man shall he walk amongst the innocent and Terror shall consume they that dwell upon the Earth. The skies will rain fire. The seas shall become as blood. The righteous shall fall before the wicked! And all creation shall tremble before the burning standards of Hell!" - Mephisto

Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.

Kirbs: Check out Viewtiful Joe, if you think the realm of side scrolling games is gone.

Barend: What the hell are those negative status things in your Fallout pic, and are there really that many people in New Reno?

allthough i've recreated it many times...

i've piled up that many bodies outside of clubs in New Reno without hitting a single bystander...

New Reno has a huge population...

spiked knuckles.

Sniper Rifle (the one with yellow/black stipes on it's muzzle)

i always max my unarmed skillz early in the game...

when you only have a few action points left and you don't need to reload, it's always nice to punch someone in the eyes and fuck up their ability to aim.

What do you mean by max out? Because max is 300, and that's bloody hard to reach with anything.

Is it Unarmed Combat that has the glitched book or was it Outdoorsmanship.

Outdoorsmanship. Although I think that's been fixed. The only way to raise it to high levels is too keep learning gecko skinning.

As for Unarmed, you're better off saving your points until after san-fran, since dragon will train you up to about 95% for free (rememeber to unequip the power armour first)

I'm more of a fast shot+bonus rate of fire+Gauss pistol person.

I just love the sound effect when you blow a 2 foot hole in their mindsection....

I'm the same as Laughlyn, but add in Sniper. With a luck of 8 or so, that gives me an 80% chance of critical. Called shot at the eyes gives me an instant kill on Enclave Soldiers and Super Mutants.

i said max. not max-out.

i get it up to 100 early in the game.

max=the most you can do with what you're given
maxout=the most that can be!
haxout=a little more...

100% is pretty weak, since lighting and dodge factors will lower it. 125% should be considered realistic, since after that even a tag skill costs 2 points per 1%.

Snipers a game ender skill, both in terms of availability, and in terms of making stuff really easy. Got nerfed in FOT by the reduction of the criticals table (tons of small bonuses, very few rare instant kills). Combined with the two fast shot trait\perk it makes aiming a bit irrelevant.

Slayers the same, only you can combine it with Silent running and the sneak perks for the ulitmate ninja spree.

Wait...Shouldn't we be discussing this in the Fallout thread?
