Hari, I like the t-shirt. But I'm not gay. Am I allowed to like the shirt since I'm not gay and have no way to relate to them? Regarding the shirt: I do know which hole to stick my head in.  laugh.gif

Of course you can like the t-shirt! Bet Revan already buying his online... it'll be the *thing* when he shows up with it!

And glad to know you're right-hole-oriented. smile.gif

I think everyone has forgotten that the topic was God not homosexuals.

But what the hell! Homos are people too! Though I wouldn't like to be near a homosexual, I don't go around the internet to bash them!
Sorry, you won't be seeing a smartass sig here. Try with the next poster.

I'll go out on a limb and be a bit controversial.

Is it me, or do atheists and religious folk tend to dance on the extremes of the emotional spectrum? The religious sometimes seem to display a cloying "show of delight" which I question at times, and atheists seem downright angry and pessimistic.

You know what you all need to do.

Embrace the love that is Krispy Kreme.

Sounds like we need to make a mission trip. The gospel of the Holey Pastry must be spread.

I admire the fact that you ain't shut up yet, but somehow that is overpowered by my lack of agreeing with even part of your fundimental preaches. If homosexuality is so unnatural, why are there gay animals? *points out various gay primates and pengiuns*

why is it that every time people debate the existence or non existence of GOD... the conversation always comes back to homosexuality.

what's the obsesion?

i'm starting to think that gay-pride marches aren't there to express freedom, but to ride the popularity of being the most talked about group.

people...

you have elected your queens!

No, you're right, and I apologize. I don't want to offend. It's wrong for me to make fun of gays, or take delight in their ridicule.

The fact that the gay movement's in-your-face behavior has ridiculed my church, and that they've taken delight in that, is beside the point.

I think you're right about being flattered that gay guys think you're hot. I've had a few propositions from gay men and while I haven't said yes I must admit it's pretty good for the old ego. The way I see it, it's all good, gay guys like guys and so do straight women, so if a gay guy asks me out it means maybe my hair is looking pretty damn fine, maybe these jeans are ok and maybe that new toothpast is doing it's job.

As for the God argument, I suppose both atheists and christians spread right across the spectrum, super conservative christians and super aggresive atheists. I think the reason this debate has been so heated is due to the fact that someone made the claim that gayness was a birth defect. He has explained what he meant and dug himself out of his hole but that of course was gonna cause a lot of anger.

In the end perhaps we should follow Chris Rocks advice "It makes no sense to be a rascist, a homophobe, anything, because whoever you hate will end up in your family. You hate gay people you gonna have a gay son, you hate Puerto Ricans you daughter's gonna come home singing 'Livin La Vida Loca'.

And as for God's existence I believe the midichorians idea is the soundest yet. But ask yourself this ... if there is no God, how do you explain Natalie Portman???? wub.gif

QUOTE (Madam Corvax @ Jul 6 2005, 11:51 AM)
I am sorry to say so, Revan, but it does show. Believe me or not, in my last post I wanted to write "hyper- conservative narrow minded redneck" but I thought better of it, because it sounded to me to strong.

Again, it seems to me that you missed the whole point of what I wrote. Nobody is thrusting ideas upon you. I just urge you to think more, perhaps read more, to grasp some of the subtelties of the English language. When you say to someone "you have a birth defect" - believe me, it is offensive. Just answer me this question - is it or is it not offensive. If you see nothing offensive in that, then we have nothing further to argue about.
did you even read the link i got all this information from? do think i just made all this stuff up? i sware. ok fine birth defect is a wrong word but saying that true homosexuals are born that way is not wrong or ignorant. and thats what ive been saying all along. so dont call me ignorant because im trying to make a statement about how they end up like that. if you knew anything about me or my cousin yud know that the last thing id want to do is offend anybody. if you knew me at all yud know that i leaned more towards the liberal side then anything. but judging my entire character simpley because of my opinion on homosexuals and how they are made is really condescending.
