Well, the SW forums have a different atmosphere than over here. I thought that post was a joke, since it was so absurdly newbish. I don't often get seriously insulted for my soft drink preferences.

And I am also of the Dr. Pepper crew. He got a fuggin' doctorate degree. I'd rather drink that than some condensation on a mountain. You don't know where that moutain's been! Mountain lions poop on mountains. I'm not going anywhere near that stuff.

Sprite and 7up are both inferior to Sweppes or Guest Lemonade. But Mountain Dew is superior to them all.

Dr Pepper is pretty universally hated over here. I don't mind it, but can only have it in small quantities.

QUOTE (Revan-47 @ Jun 13 2005, 09:40 AM)
What country are you from, Borneo?

Borneo, my dear n00b friend, is not a country, it is an island. If, by uttering this comment, you wanted to show the contempt for anything in this world that is not American, you should have at least made sure that the inferiority of your education does not scream so loud.

As far as I know, Mountain Dew is a drink known best in North America (what Chyld wrote seems to bear this satement out). I would like to assure you that the world is not divided into North America and The Bush only.

QUOTE (rock_dash @ Jun 13 2005, 12:42 PM)
The only place I know of that still has 7up in the fountain machine is Carl's Jr.

Funnily enough, here on Borneo 7up is pretty much everywhere....

Didn't you just hear him apologise? Cmon!

Anyway...

We've got two MDs and two DR's. Who else has a vote?

I vote... neither!
Seeing as both leave me with half my body bigger than the other and slightly blind in my left eye I can drink neither... even if I could, I wouldn't! Dr. Pepper - which appeared in australia briefly, anhd seemed to be some kind of cherry cola that tasted like cough medicie without the medicinal values - seemed to, at least in its Australian incarnation, taste so foul that even my dog, who will go through hell (or three feet of soil) for greasetrap grease ran in fear from the substance... and given my inability to withstand caffeine in regular cola I've tried virtually every lemon based soft dirnk in existence and found that Mountain Dew looked like a horror movie prop and tasted like one too.
Non-diet lemon-based soft drink all the way!

What happens to Dr. Pepper when it gets over there? Do all of the koalas poop in it?

Well, it's cherry flavoured, and cherry flavoured stuff just tastes like medicine. I can't see why it's so popular over there.

But Dr. Pepper isn't cherry flavored...they must have screwed something up over there.

Revan, you may want to call the cops about that...

What? Didn't you say that already? I still don't get it.

And there's something my cousins are addicted to. Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. I think they're trying to please too many people with that drink. Plus it tastes like grenadine.

How do you put that many flavors in a soda (let alone a diet soda)? It's like mixing chocolate, ketchup and hotsauce in spegetti, it just doesn't work.
