I never swallowed a diamond.
If I came across a big diamond, I'd put it in a box and kill anyone who came near it unless they were really cute. And even then they'd have to be nice as well.
If it was uncut, I'd have it cut into a single really cool gem, and use the smaller gems to sell and buy some... stuff. Ok I'd use it to buy old cars... happy now.

Somewhere they still have those journals, which have some very formal scientific writing and sympton observation and some stuff about clouds moving against the wind the breaking up whoah trippy.
