No he didn't.

In a scene Lucas clearly lifted from Tarantino, in a dimly lit Wookie tree hut on Kashyyyk Yoda tells Chewie, "bring out the gimp", Chewie growls, Yoda says "Gimp sleeping of this i care not, awkened he must" out comes JarJar gagged. At least he's quiet and meets the fate he deserves.

Hehehe Jar Jar do something heroic. There are only a few heroic things that JJ could have done, and knowing Lucas he would have given his bothersome life so that Obi, Yoda or the kids could live. This would have been the point where I yelled "NOW TESTIFY" And set fire to the theater. Lucas, thankfully, opted for tact.
