I'm pretty sure that business about the Jedi religion census is an urban legend. First, I've heard it with reespect to New Zealand, Australia, the UK and even Canada. That sort of variable testimony is the hallmark of the UL. On a whim, I went to snopes.com and found this:

http://www.snopes.co...ligion/jedi.htm

For what it's worth.
"I had a lot of different ideas. At one point, Luke, Leia and Ben were all going to be little people, and we did screen tests to see if we could do that." -George Lucas, in STAR WARS: the Annotated Screenplays (p197).

they should fine every so called "jedi" the $1000.

silly dorks...

you need to register the religion first.... putting it in a sensus that you wish you had special powers doesn't register a religion... it just makes you lame... (i have a friend who worked there it was funny).

having said that, under religion i put chaos!!!

Jedi Religion Article

According to this Jedi outnumber Jews in Great Brittain. There are also hundreds of thousands of them in Australia and New Zealand. They're pushing for it to be recognized as an official religion.

This brings up the question: Why don't we have a thing that lets you state what your religion is on the forum user details?

There's also a religion based on the movie The Matrix.

I read somewhere that they've also made religions out of Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia.

Actually, KurganX, there are a bunch of Trekkies trying to start the Church of Shatnerology - or something like that. It sounded to me like someone was just trying to stoke William Shatner's ego, as if it needed the help. wacko.gif
