This just in, it appears that Mark Furhman was involved in this guys case. Furhman, upon being caught by a great dane and a gang of, and I quote, "Meddling kids" admitted to pretending to be the man's mother's corpse, spraying blood on his walls, stockpiling pipe bombs, shooting at neighbors and hitting a couple of children. The only person in the world who defended the apparent culprit against insummountable odds will be awarded a million dollars, as the odds of the fellow's guilt were approximately a million to one.

Meanwhile, in the real world, it was revealed that people who shoot at their neighbors and stockpile pipe bombs and hit kids and freeze their parents need to be imprisoned or institutionalized. Chefelf 5 news will bring you more on this stunning revelation as it develops.

Really now, I've defended people before who had some chance of being innocent, but this guy seems kind of out of bounds. Hey I know, let's have a mock-trial in the debate forum!

Stop being so wilfully bloody obtuse. Frankly I don't really care what happens to the guy. This is about the principle of the matter. It's entirely possible, even probable, that he killed his mother. But you don't know it for sure, no one can know it for sure at this point, least of all you. And you're just playing straight into the media hype by gossiping about how that nasty nasty man needs to be locked away, because he's obviously a murderer.

This is about the principle of the matter.

The principal of the matter is that he hid his mother's body for several years, attacked a neighbors son, and (according to the charges against him) attempted to murder the boys father when he came to ask what was up. He also had pipe bombs stockpiled in an ammount sufficient to suggest that he was planning something bad. Speaking on principal it is wrong to freeze human remains in ice rather than give them a decent burial.

He's at the very least an attempted murderer. Personally I find him to be one of the more repugnant people I've heard about recently and I think it was perfectly justified for me to state that he should get what he deserved.

You're picking the wrong battle here. Yes, I know not to believe everything the media said, but, fuck, this guy shoots at people and keeps his mother in a freezer! If you want to be skeptic that's cool but don't be an extremist about it.

The evidence against this dude is a little harder than just circumstance. Forgive me for being a sheep but I'm not going to ignore the facts. And the police of course are also doing the logical thing and investigating his mother's death as a possible homicide. Not only is there blood on the walls (non-circumstantial) an attempt to cover up her death (once again, non circumstantial) and a body, but his story dosn't check out either. When he spoke to the cops during the siege he said his mother had been dead for 4 years. Neighbors claim they saw her not more than 2 years ago alive.

I didn't say that he deefinately murdered her, but in my opinion he likely did. I don't automatically assume that Osama Bin Laden was responsible for the september eleventh attacks, I didn't go condemning that anthrax fello when the media named him as a person of interest. However, this guy deserves to be imprisoned regardless of whether he killed his mother or not, so why even argue the point.

My two cents? He may not have killed her, its always an option that he's as innocent as Jesus, but then again, there's always Occam's Razor to bear in mind...

I'm not sure I havnt seen any reports except the guy told the police that his mother's blood was on his walls after she got attacked by a cat. That part of the story is included in one of the links I gave somewhere on page 2.
