I have not looked at everything from the list but im sure they probably answer all the questions.
Thats why I think its good that questions remain un answered in the SW films, because it gives writers of novels and also comics, new material to write upon.

It is the official timeline thats everywhere, and every SW fan should know it. I guess you havn't done your homework on that

No, I disagree. I consider myself a Star Wars fan and I don't want to have to read a bunch of frickin' third-rate novels to acquaint myself with whatever Lucas is calling the "official timeline". This isn't "lazy", it's, "I've got a crapload of better books to read first."

I always assumed Luke got some paranormal training from the ghost of Obi-Wan in the time that took place between ANH and ESB.

One of the pre-SE books listed the pre-trilogy timeline as being something like this -

- 25000: begining of the Republic

- 896: Birth of Yoda

- 200: Birth of Chewbacca

- 112: C3PO is activated

- 60: Birth of Obi Wan Kenobi

- 55: Birth of Anakin Skywalker

- 48: Birth of Mon Mothma

- 35: End of Clone Wars,during this war, Obi Wan is given the rank of general.He meets Bail Organa and the young pilot ; Anakin Skywalker. At the end of the war, Obi-Wan starts the training of Anakin but realises too late that he is seduced by the dark side.

- 29: Birth of Han Solo. Corruption and injustice affect the republic. Taking advantage of the situation, senator Palpatine becomes president of the senate.

-18: Palpatine proclaims himself Emperor and abolishes the republic.First rebel manifestations. During that time Obi-Wan tries to bring back Anakin, who is influenced by Palpatine. They fight, Anakin falls into a volcano and is left for dead by Obi-Wan.
Anakin becomes Darth Vader and serves the Emperor, he starts to exterminate all the Jedis.
3 Senators (including Mon Mothma and Bail Organa) create the rebel alliance.
Birth of Luke and Leia.

Not quite the prequels we got, is it? This gives me the feeling that Anakin would be somewhere more in his late 30s at the time his kids are born.

I still say that it doesn't make sense that a 25,000 year old republic to becomes and empire for 40 years then becomes a "New" Republic. The galactic civil war would be nothing but a hiccup in the long history if the galaxy.

they really should relable revenge of the sith (the way they called star wars a new hope, three years after it's release...) episode 1.

episode 2. could just be a phat conquest movie of vader concoring the galaxy. and episode 3. could be the all my family episode. where we are introduced to characters we already know...

Chewbacca has no real place in THIS movie...
Boba fett only had a place in ONE movie...

epsiode 3 could follow solo, to make up for the lack pf a macho lead over the last few attempts...

Han Solo is the kind of man that lucas could never be, and luke is the character he thought he was when he made the first, and anikan is how her remembers being young now.

Fair charge, and one I never considered.

Why not: 1) Come clean that His master plan was for the OT to be the LAST of 3 trilogies (he's tried all other options) so NOW he can do the material which covers a prior, rather unimportant twenty years; in a NEW trilogy to be better than all the rest (more jar-jar.)

2) Release new OT dvd trilogy with episode numbers change.
