David Duchovny now has a beard, or a furry alien consumin his face, much like the one wrapped around George Lucas' neck only with fur. However he is doing VERY interesting things. He's working on a movie starring Robin Williams, some kid, his wife (Duchovny's, not the kid's) and himself. He's also due to start work on an X files movie, again!

WOOT! From what I hear about House of D, his film with Williams, it sounds pretty decent. Its a typical growing up film, but it could be about one man's quest to provide air fresheners for porta-johns for all I care. It has Duchovny and Robin Williams. I'll watch it!

Duchovny and Robin Williams? That sound be something to see. Anyone who's watched a fair amount of The X-Files knows that David Duchovny has an excellent sense of humor. I refer you to the episode where a vampire without any fangs drugs Mulder, who ends up on the floor singing the theme to Shaft XD

"Mulder, are you all right!?"
"He's the private black dick that's a sex machine with all the ladies! SHAFT! Can you dig it?"
I finally got a sig!

I love that episode! The vampire looked like the guy from some band. He might even be the guy from that band I'm thinking of. There were some really great humourous moments in that series.

One of those X-Files vampire episodes had an older version of Chunk from the Goonies. Duchovny's a spiffy actor in my opinion.

And you can make a good sci-fi flick, jariten!

Edit: Clarity.

I liked Duchovny in "Zoolander". His frustrations with Derek's stupidity were some of his finest onscreen moments, comedy-wise.
As far as a new X-Files movie: it's something we could do without.

He has a beard now? That's different.
I don't know about another X-Files movie, since the series is kind of... over. Unless... its going to be in the style of the older episodes (Seasons 1-3) since those episodes were amazingly good.

But Chris Carter's other sci-fi series Millenium was much, much better than X-Files was.
