Cool. I found a follow up to that article just today.

There's some revealing info in this entry.

its interesting that mark hamill said that the emperor should be like the wizard of oz. GL just misinterpreted what he mean and make him look like the wicked witch of the west in that frigging movie poster.

Poor Mark. Complaining that nobody praised him for doing scenes without human actors. His arguments, after TPM and AOTC don't hold good any more - he should be grateful that at least he had a real set not a piece of green screen to work with. Perhaps this solves the mistery of uniformly wooden acting in PT.

Despondent, thank you, it was a great read

I think overall Mark Hamil is an underrated actor... he has many talents, and i like his other work...

his reluctancy to be typecast cost him alot of screentime, and the fact that his least directed work is his most known is also a contributing factor...

i saw an interview with him via satelite on an australian morning show, in which he was there to promote 'the big red one' on DVD... but it didn't take long for the interviewr to go to star wars and not recognise the brilliant impresonations of other people that hamil was doing.

Yep, I cringed when I saw it too. I remember the big red one. Never saw it, but saw a tv interview too. Was Lee Marvin in that?

You're very welcome, Madam C. Check back, I'll have some more vintage Luke pics going up. From time to time. And I was always a Luke fan too.

And I don't have my tickets yet. Not sure if I want to pull the Late, late nighter. Maybe I could arrange to come in late at work on thursday. As of last night, all shows available. Two weeks out only? It would be nice to freeze the moment of optimism before the disappointment sets in.

This is all great stuff...
And if the Emperor is Luke's grandfather, I might throw an annoying kid at the screen... that will also apply if Jar Jar doesn't die, if Anakin doesn't fly a fighter and if some kid sitting next to me is really annoying.
