And Mace Windu's involvement in the war (taking out all those droids) shows how much Jedi's should kick ass. They use the all powerful force, they themselfs SHOULD be pretty damn kick ass.

You think so? I personally think it was overdone. Actually I never watched much episodes with Mace Windu in it except for the part when he destroys an entire driod army. As I said earlier, this is way too much for me to believe.

In all honesty, Chefelf once compared the PT to a bunch of a stories he wrote as a kid, and this scene showing Mace Windu doing that reminded me of a crap story I worte when I was 16 about a nearly invicible fighter. I wrote those stories on purpose to be bad since I didn't care what the hell I was writing, so long I was writing something!

I guess even GL's writers aren't that talented, either. sleep.gif

It seemed like the initial season of Clone Wars was not that spectacular. I have the DVD and it's interesting but not great. It's just a lot of action and that can be a lot of fun but it doesn't really develop much of a story.

I think it works better for Samurai Jack in that that was an original idea and the action in that was just great. I can't help but just find Clone Wars interesting but not exciting. I haven't seen the second season though, so maybe that is more interesting as DBrennan3333 says.

Gennedy Tartakovski (sp) still did a better job of fleshing out the characters in plot-lite cartoons than GL does in two movies.

like someone said. We see a heroic anakin who gets along with obi-wan, loves padme in a non-creepy way, and is an absolutely ridiculously amazing fighter pilot. Plus, the battle of Mon Cal, as shown by Tartakovski (sp) should have been in one of the films. It would have been a great epic Ep2 battle in a modified trilogy where our 2 is ep1. I mean, instead of a bullshit Naboo plains battle or a bullshit arena battle. GL could have transported us to a whole new fantasy world of underwater sci-fi combat in the same way he wowed us with Hoth and Tatooine. He would have had a legitimate reason to use the "giant fish eaten by gianter fish" film clips he loved so much in a scene that makes sense.

Well, I'll take your word on that part about Anakin being heroic and getting along with Obi-Wan. Personally, I've only seen one episode with Anakin in it (two actually, but the second one was pure action with Anakin getting into a duel with that female Sith). The episode leading up to duel showed him dogfighting a fighter and how Obi-Wan was shouting at Anakin through the radio to not follow it through hyperspace. Anakin disobeys this in a, how shall I put it, not precisely firm manner. He bullshits to Obi-Wan about his radio not working (it isn't, but he's lying) and he jumps through hyperspace to chase it.

Before that scene, he just talks about the 'force being with it' and how he has to get after it. I suppose this does give Anakin some justification for having for pursue it to the end, but I would have perfered it if hadn't acted like a jerk in defying Obi-Wan's direct orders in such a manner.

Maybe you can enlighten me about just how the character development takes place in the series. I really don't know, and I personally didn't care one bit for the show.

Look, I agree its not that great. But here is the justification for my comments.

Whiney bitchy immature anakin massacring sand people then delivering the absolute hands down worst piece of dialogue heard yet (and to be outdone in ROTS?) (Paraphrased b/c i don't give a shit) "I killed them....all of them....and the women...and the children. I hate them. Its all Obi-Wan's fault....he's holding me back" As the start of his fall to the darkside

like i said, i'd take the latter any day because at least we know he's a good pilot and loves a good fight.

I'd take a belligerent Anakin who loves to kick ass a little too much over a confused whiney bitch any friggin day.

Sounds like Han's control room antics with some AT-AT improvisation maybe. Am I reading too much?

Prequel-lover; wouldn't that brand of presentation be a welcome change (or can't GL micro-manage the cartoon guys?)

I love the Clone Wars animted series for what its worth.

I can just sit back and watch it and genuinely enjoy it.

Then again, I got the DVD for free. Maybe it'd be different if I payed for it.

I love the cartoon. I know it's so fucking exaggerated, but it's a cartoon.

Volume I was just pure nonsense action. It didn't develop characters, but Episode II too and Volume I didnīt bore me as Attack Of The Clones.

Volume II is where the cartoon shines. It shows the relationship of Obi-Wan and Anakin like friends, Anakin/Padme relationship was less boring, Jedi didn't look like assholes, it had a plot, and had the best character ever, General Grievous, kicking Jedi arse.
