Also, in the map of my place, the huge grey square across the street from my building houses the evil Big Bear convenience store that I mentioned in a recent article!

Yeah, the arrow thingies are always a little bit off but if it can get you in the general vicinity you can usually take it from there.

I don't know why I am enjoying this Satellite thing as much as I am.

The photos are a few years old, but for the post part still pretty relevant. I can't wait until they have Europ and the far East catalogued. smile.gif

I'm going to paint my roof so it says "Andrew's house" or "Don't drop bombs on me!"

If you go to the coast and zoom in as far as possible, you can see trails that boats make in the water. Some are really long, like in NY there was one that was about a mile.

Edit: My School, which I hate. and The creek by my house! My house is to the right, about 10 houses down. While I type this, I imagine a huge space death laser slowly rotating towards my house.

Yeah, it's pretty sweet. Particularly nice off the south coast of Manhattan by the Statue of Liberty. smile.gif

This has taught me that I shouldn't type Perth, WA, as people will read that as Washington, rather then Western Australia. Damn you unspecific figure for making things more complex.

Area 51 is only blacked out on the closest setting.  You can still see it if at the second closest setting (I think).

I found my house by zooming all the way out and then zooming in and scrolling step by step. It's IMO more fun than just typing in the address, and it's easier than you'd expect.
