((Firstly, I'm pretty sure that if the ship that's after Spoon just ran into a reef hard enough to get stuck, getting free isn't going to stop up the enormous hole that's been gouged into the hull and should be presently sinking the vessel.))
Secondly, yarhar, I'm going to try to join the fray again, but Cap'n Swordfish is in retirement in the Netherlands or something with war wounds and a small fortune.
However, Captain John Wushu Bloodbeard Denshin III has just returned from the Orient. He went there to finally exact revenge on the evil washing machine that ordered the execution of his parents. He succeeded, and went on a few successful voyages as a privateer, as well as occasionally turning to piracy when it wouldn't jeopordize his position as said privateer. While travelling, he made a very large name for himself in the South Pacific Asianish region; any sailor worth his weight in rum would recognize the skeletal Asian dragon emblazoned upon the red flag of his ship, the Rising Tide. He realigned his Chi, offered cinnamon to his ancestors, and practiced his swordplay. He's just now finishing up his latest mission: one of a few escorts for a group of trade vessels sailing from Asia to India, then Africa, and then to the Carribean. While his remaining crew members are an ethincally diverse group of hardened sailors, there were many casualties on every vessel, as is to be expected. Storms and corsair attacks took their toll on everyone. The Rising Tide is battered and down to less than half of its crew, though it has a reasonable purse now that the trade vessels have reached Barbados successfully. Back in the Carribean, he hopes to find some lucrative opportunities to amass more loot.
Characterwise, he's not so over-the-top anymore, and as a ninja-pirate, is fairly lethal either by himself on an assassination contract on land, or as part of his pirate crew. (Obviously, ninja and pirate skills don't all mesh very well.) He wields his katana as always, and carries quite a few spare throwing knives around his person. He's also had his pirate name shortened to "Slade" because no one ever bothered to call him by his proper name anyway, and he wanted to avoid the constant frustration. ((It would have been shortened to something else, perhaps, but you all just used my name instead of my character's name last time.))
((If it's alright, I'd appreciate if he could have actually arrived at Barbados the week before everybody else started, so he could be brought up to speed on what's been going on in the Carribean (at least as much as he can find out from the islanders), give his crew time to rest, and give time to round up more willing bodies and have his ship repaired so he'll be on almost equal footing with everyone else when he starts in. I'd like his first official action to get gathering more crew, finding out the most recent information everyone who's already been in the Carribean is also looking for (treasure/job rumors, etc., rather than old rumors and history that he's been getting), and checking his ship's status so he knows what supplies he needs to purchase before setting sail once more.))
