Sure go for it. What position do you want? You can either work on a ship I'll storytell or just work on some other captain's ship.

I don't remember how many ships I have, but I gather my crewmen together at my flagship to make a speech, and hopefully improve morale.

"Me good seafarin' heartys!" I say, in a voice loud enough for those in the aft to hear "They say that "Barebones" Barend be unkillable. They say that his ship an' crew cannot be destroyed. Well, I tell ye this. I KNOW Barend. I be havin' met th' lad's an' shook his hand, an' I tell ye he be as killable as real as any man amongst ye.

They say he made a deal wi' th` Leviathan. I do nay b'lieve that be so. But jus' in case, I be havin' holy water wi' me, plundered, if ye reckon, from a spanish church long ago

I do nay ORDER ye t' accompany me. If any yeller belly wishes t' show his colors an` run, he may do so. But if any o' ye wish t' destroy Barebones, an` be amongst th' richest sea dogs eret` sail, then he ortin` ta choose this route. He ortin` ta accompany me. Reckon, men. This be yer last chance..

I do nay know which port or isle, Barebones sails ou' o'. But I WILL get his booty. We failed t' get Bluebeard`s, but Barend be a better target, t'ain't he? So we will gather ever' sea dog in th' sea together, an' make sure Barebones sees Davy Jones' Locker FORERE

I tell ye now what I`ve told ye before ever' trip. This may be yer last voyage. So work hard, eat, drink, an' plunder like yer life depends on 't!"

(((Okay, I'ma give this a go. Bear with me, the lack of structure and necessity of story-telling and speaking Pirate might hang me up a bit. But it looks like fun so I'm gonna try. Barbossa was pretty well-spoken in PotC, so I can be accidentally well-spoken, too, right? tongue.gif )))

I'm Captain Audra Dawkins (nickname pending) of tha Hell-born Blade. Having just broken away from Henry Morgan's crew due to me disagreement with his often unnecessary cruelty, I've gathered me ship and me crew and set up on tha southern tip o' Andros (((the only big island in the Bahamas))). In much tha same way as Morgan at Morgan's Bluff, me crew and meself wait at the Waters Cays for incoming ships ta prey on. ((( See crappy map here.)))

I first became a pirate because I was part of tha "booty" taken ta "plunder" from a rich merchant ship by a smaller band of pirates when I was but a lass of 14. However, tha way I fought back and spit instead o' cowardly succumbing to me fate amused tha kindly pirates, and so instead, they started giving me odd jobs 'round tha ship. Eventually I learned me ta fight, started taking parts in raids, and climbed up tha ranks. Then Morgan took over me crew and said, "Join or die," so I saved me skin and been on Morgan's crew ever since, up till recently.

Bein' a lass, petite, and not too keen on killin' willy-nilly, I've had to work hard to gain the level of respect my crew gives me. But I fight well, usually hand to hand or with me left-handed cutlass. I also be always keepin' me dagger in me boot, and me pistol at my left side. I have me some grenades of the small explodin' type 'round my waist, and some grenades of the smokin' type 'round my neck. I'm also good with an axe, pike, or longer sword, things we keep 'round tha ship; but I don't be carryin' these 'round. However, I'm not so good with any long-range weaponry like muskets or cannons so I leaves that to me crew.

Right at tha moment, I'd like ta be at my base on Waters Cays, on the lookout for any ships we can lure to wreck on the reef and take their booty and supplies, maybe some new crew members, and hopefully some news.

Arrr. I be Capt. J. B. Galore, privateer, captain of the Dirty Wench and champion of Her Majesty over the dirty Spaniards!

Like Nimrodi, I, too, seek 'Barebones', but, in order to reach him, you'll have to finish me first! I'll be gettin' the reward and his booty if it's the last thing you'll see alive! Mark my words: Don't trifle with me, boy, or you'll find yourself one pickle short of a darsh-blown trilby!

Now, YEHAAUUGGHHHH!!! TO AAAAAARRRRRMMMMSSSS!!!

Bond- Alright, you're hanging out on the British Virgin Islands. As an English privateer you have a pretty good deal: You can go try to find the legendary Lord Admiral Nicholas Underwood, who I'm guessing would be at Port Royale (If Zato is still about). You can gain some decent payment and prestige with Britain if you do that.

You can also go and raid shipping wherever you feel like, so long as you dont get caught raiding English shipping. Where would you like to travel to, and will you be looking for potential victims along the way.

As to your question, your crew look at you and one of the bigger, more tight pants, and very shirtless men says he'll wrestle you for captaincy. Mud wrestle. Thankfully there's no mud about.

And, ok. you can go after Barebones. Where do you want to start searching for him?

Cobnat- Sure, your captains name is Amrand Martinez, and he's a veteran of the armanda, the portion of the armada entirely commanded by guys named Armand. Just a fun fact. He's decided that he will go towards Tortuga to crew up. He's also decided you'll be in the crow's nest of th Nova, his ship, for the next 12 hours. Should you follow the order you have the choice of keeping a good lookout and staying awake/sober, or getting into some rum/getting some rest. Either possibility has some disadvantages. If you fail to spot a mark, or worse yet a persuing man of war, you'll be keelhauled, but if you stay up all damn night you'll be really tired by the time there is any action.

Otal- You still have three ships remaining of your grand fleet, the Merry Monarch, the Blade and your flagship, the Devil's Night. Some of your men are skeptical of your speech about Barend, having seen him killed at St. Kitts along with all his men and now hearing that he's been brought back to life. Some of them raise a brow when you vow to "get Barend's booty" but for the most part they're all for the plan since, they hope, you're refering to gold.

Your first mate, however, a veteran of the Port Royale armada and the battle against Barend, comes to your cabin later, looking a bit nervous as he hobbles along on his peg leg.

"Sar, I be beggin yar pardon, but we must ave words. We both seen Barebones killed we did, regardless o what ye be tellin the rest o the crew. And I seen St Kitts town after he was through with it. No force on arth could be doin that me friend, no force on arth.

I'm not knowin how ye say Barebones be a better target than bluebard, for Bluebard were dead, sar. I likes me dead men dead, and I likes me live men livin, if ye be gettin my meanin. I'll follow ye to the ends o the arth capn, but I'd just as soon go after galleons the rest o me days than cross swords with Capn Barebones..."

He makes his reservations known, and, provided you're unwavering, he'll go off sullenly to tend to the sails and get the crew in order to shove off. He asks as he goes out the door what your orders are for the captains of the Merry Monarch and Blade.

Spoon - (Absolutely, well spoken is fine by me as long as yer throwin in a yarrr once in a while)

You surely do have the respect of your crew, and you'll be getting bonuses whenever you personally enter combat. Some other pirates may not take you very seriously, which should prove interesting because... there's a pretty fawking large pirate ship coming your way. You passed your encounter role, which means since you were looking for a ship, you found one. However you failed the next role with a one. This is a huge pirate ship that could take yours apart. 20 guns to a side, which is almost as much as many royal navy ships. She doesnt spot you though. You can look at the vessel more closely and try to develop a plan, or you can slip away. She's sailing pretty lazily and just kind of hanging out.

Ninja Duck- Alright that puts you in Tortuga, the best place to pick up a pirate crew. And, what luck! There's a ship approaching right now, you can just barely see the sails illumined by her running lights. And there may or may not be a spaniard in the crows nest.

Sime- Just because you're a Jesuit and you have the rest of the order getting information for you, you get a knowledge roll with each turn. You rolled a four this time, so all you find out is that there are several old pirates now looking for Barebones, though the Jesuit who comes to you hasnt been given any specifics.

I gather my two captain's together.

"Look, shipmates. Ye be me most trusted captains, so I`ll keep this short. We all know that Captain Barend sank t' Davy Jones' locker. Ye all saw 't. I saw 't. But they say he`s back. Well, I had old Sawtooth come t' be seein' me jus' now, an' he told me he likes his dead men dead an' his live men livin'.

Well, so do I. So I want t' make 't that way, we`ll knock Barebones right back t' Davy Jones.

O' course, lads, ye know that I be havin' nay clue about Barebones` whereabouts. But I figure thar`s nothin' like a voyage t' get these men workin'. They say Barend`s booty be more impressive than Bluebeard`s. Well, I dasn't know if that`s true or nay, I dasn't e'en know if Barend yet lives, but if th' men think he does, an' if they think he`s got th' biggest pile they`ll swashbuckle twice as hard, an' get th' biggest stockpiles o' booty on all se'en seas.

We gather our ships together an' set sail. On accoun' o', Barend or nay Barend, thar`s a ship ou' thar that`s jus' askin' t' be plundered. So I say we find 't."

We set sail towards Saint Kitts, that being the last place Barebones was seen, with hopes to get information about what happened next.

Oh, and here's a player list. member name, followed by their ship, and then character name/alignment

Zatoichi HMS Hampton Arms Sir Lord Admiral Underwood, HMRN
Jordan HMS Villiers Sir Lord Jordan, HMRN
Jane Siren's Virtue Captain Sherwood, Pirate
Otal Devil's Night Pirate Admiral Roughknuckles, Pirate
Barend Eviscerator Captain Barebones, Hell
Slade Ugly Duckling Captain Swordfish, HM privateer
Cobnat Nova Ricardo Chavez, Pirate
Bond Loose Wench Captain Galore, HM privateer
Sime Converter Captain Sanchez, Jesuit Order
Spoon Hell Born Captain Dawkins, Pirate
Ninja Duck Nova Stephen Tureaud

Otal has two other ships that sail with him, the Blade and the Merry Monarch.

Zatoichi commands the British fleet including Jordan's Villiers, all HM Privateers, and 5 other British ships around the Caribbean: HMS Black Prince, HMS Hood, HMS Reliant, HMS Edinburg and HMS Sherbourne

Otal- You're a legendary pirate admiral and your men are with you. It's going to take a good bit to scare them but this may just do it. You get under way to the island that was once St. Kitts in good spirits. You come up upon a ship, floating along. It's been attacked and water flows in and out through holes in it's hull. This ship should not be afloat. It's not the Eviscerator, but it does have that ghostly aura. Your lieutenant advises this is an ill omen and you should continue on, but a few of your men are in favor of boarding the ghost ship. The name of the ship is the Argonautica.
