Where's a good place to start... perhaps From Here To Eternity, starring Burt Lancaster, Frank Sinatra, Montgomery Clift, Deborah Kerr and Donna Reed. All I can say about this film is that it's long, it's in black and white, and it's kind of dull when Burt Lancaster isn't on screen.
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an obi-wan to go.

Once upon a time there was a tv station called TNT which broadcast all the old films. I taped as many as I could (I had a third-hand VCR back then), but sadly these tapes are all lost now. And I very much doubnt if anyone is going to re-release her films on DVD.
Besides, I have three biographies of her and several CDs.
When it comse to films I guess my favourite was Presenting Lily Mars and Everybody Sing. Has anyone seen it?

At what decade should I start listing random films to discuss/debate?
Isn't "The Wizard of Oz" available on DVD?

Ane weren’t we supposed do discuss films at random arthern than starting with the beginning?
So, I re-watched Godfather today, mostly skipping scenes. I can’t remember it running for so long, it was the bast part of three hours. Is is possible that people sat through it in cinemas and didn’t complain?
And young Pacino is just unbelievable. All he has to do is stare with those coal-black eyes and you just love him. It ain’t acting, but it’s pretty effective.

But I have seen The Untouchables and I liked it. Even people who dislike Kevin Costner have to admit it's a pretty good film (though I have no idea how historically accurate it is).
Has anyone here seen Darkman?

what about those 'hardy' films with mickey roony... there were like 400 of those...
i haven't seen the godfather movies recently but i love young paccino...
Dog Day Afternoon, Scarface, etc.
that stare is more acting than anything else...
Darkman... i haven't seen that since it first came out.
love the bruce campbell cameo...

With the exception of Sean Connery's 'Irish' accent of course.

Hardy films - Judy Garland starred only in three of them. I can't bear to watch it. The girl was all over Andy,a nd he never took notice.
I saw the newest King's Solomon Mines with Patrick Swayze last night. Whatever happen to this poor guy? First Dirty Dancing II (although I admit I am pretty partial to that film) and now a third remake of such a cliche theme. And he was sooo hot like fifteen years ago...

but Pricilla seemed to be pretty popular... the other one, not so...
maybe Australians are just better crossdressers by nature.
