George Lucas to Appear in New 'Star Wars' Movie

'Star Wars' director George Lucas will make a cameo appearance in the upcoming final film in the sci-fi series.

Lucas is set to follow in the footsteps of 'Lord Of The Rings' film-maker Peter Jackson by briefly appearing before cameras in 'Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of The Sith,' playing Baron Papanoida in an opera house scene.

Jackson has immortalized himself on screen in all three 'Lord Of The Rings' films, playing hobbit Albert Dreary, Rohirrim Warrior and an unnamed Mercenary on Boat in 'The Fellowship Of The Ring,' 'The Two Towers' and 'Return Of The King,' respectively.

What a fucknut.

I rhink he has, and what's more is, I think he's going to mug for a picture and look straight at the audience and make it painfully obvious that it's him!

I don't understand this need to "immortalize yourself" on film. You made the movies... isn't that enough? Aren't there enough interviews on film to immortalize yourself?

One more sign that George Lucas has clearly gone mad.

Will E.T. be watching the opera right beside him?

And why does he have to be a baron?

Honeslty, I kinda liked making up weird and wacky titles, or at least ones that are based on real ones (such as Grand Moff). Why does he have to use real life and well-known titles? Why not Grav, or some other name. Its a title of nobility in some East European country, but I forgot where and what it exactly was...

There is no question that there will be an action figure of George Lucas this time, you know it.

Can you imagine selling graven images of yourself and making serious money at it?

Yes, good point...

The sandpeople had women and children. We know this because Anakin killed them how could he tell? The children might be smaller but I never saw a sandperson with breasts. Did they hike their skirts and show him some leg or something?

Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

You know what, I never actually thought about that, but you're right! This is supposed to be a Galaxy 'far, far away' and guess what? It's EXACTLY like Earth. Only stupidier and far worse.

We all know Lucas's penchant for copying movies......perhaps he wants to "borrow" from that opera scene in the Fifth Element

Maybe, much like ROTJ, this one will feature a montage at the end where various planets react. There'll be Tattooine of course "Oh no. A new empire is arisen that will not have power over us in any way!" And an opera house on Corruscant, and we'll also get to see the reaction of the creature on Hoth for no reason!

And yeah I'm completely certain that Lucas is going to dance around infront of the camera like a moron. I never even knew Peter Jackson was in the LOTR movies. You see, that's clever. That's what a cameo is supposed to be- so you can later go back and say "wow I never knew that was so and so, cool!" Boba Fett's role should have been a cameo (and even that is stretching it) However, much like Boba Fett, I think we're going to see a lot more of Lucas than we'd like to.
