Ah but of course the rice rockets. I can't stand those cars or the wannabe jerk asses who drive them. Nothing tickles my fancy more then a suped up honda civic driving by my apartment, at 3 in the morning, giving off a terrible "umph umph" of bass.
I know I will get the last laugh. The drivers eardrums and kidney will pay the price for being locked in a small confined place, recieving the full power of short lived sound waves.
Hey this is not so bad then!

too many people to quote...
1.firstly the loud car stereo.
i don't mind people who need their music loud, but when you listen to top 40 RNB shit, there's no need to force it any futher down our throats. mainstream media is doing a bang up job of that already. If you must pump your music at everyone, then play something they're not already getting bombarded with!!! RNB is not loud music, so be the pussy you are and listen to it in the privacy of your own home.
I mean how would society like it if i drove around pumping Skinny Puppy, Ministry, and Napalm Death at everyone?!?
2.although all the females on this board are the apitamy (sp) of lovelyness...
i think too many women in society have grown up on soap operas and just want a little drama in their lives so they act offended at everything.
"i'll wear this dress that projects my breasts into your face but you better not look at them!" (that was my interpretation of inner monologue, the rest is actual quotes)
"i wanted to have sex untill you said let's have sex"
"don't call me 'mrs' i don't care if i am married 'mrs' suggests that i'm someone elses PROPERTY' " (I was just doing market research for gods sake!)
and my favorite...
"the problem is that you don't know what the problem is!!!"
(my response to this is always "well now i know that the problem is that i don't know what the problem is, and if that's the problem then i do know what the problem is and therfore there isn't one!" -go for a kiss while they're figuring it out and they wont know what happened, or run away, both are good options
now before everyone starts flamming me, i am aware that men have lots of problems too (out side of our inability to cry outside of watching LOTR) but i'm too tired to type them so girls feel free to maul me to death on these boards. i'll understand.

This was a former pet peeve of mine. I hated it when they brought new employees to my office and we'd all smile nice-nice and make pleasant exchanges. Usually I'd even get off my stool, put my shoes back on and turn down the music. Today I put aside my traditional grumbling-smiling pretentions and smiled and said I hoped they enjoyed working here, (feigning true sincerity) and that it was a great place to work. when I said that the new (other end of building) manager winked at me where her tour director the HR manager couldn't see. So that was my little reward for earnest effort. Looks like she'll do fine.

Not really a pet peeve, but I recently called to subscribe to online banking, and the girl I talked to was beyond nice. And not cheery nice either. Right at the borderline. I want to be like that... if I ever work at a place like that...

I was like that when I worked at Nextel this past summer! It was fun!

I love Ministry, and what I've heard of Napalm Death rocks to the max.

as far as being cheery nice, one summer I worked at a pizza hut. Man it got busy in the kitchen. when the phone rang, I know they were thinking what's up? I was so cheery! it was my lifeline to the outside world. a momentary oasis and a breath of fresh air.
when I went home I still smelled like a pizza.
