if that picture of george's cameo is anything to go by, darkness is not something i expect from this film.

the director dressed up like an old queen, is not dark... it's scary, but not dark!

"Dark." Yeah, right. Look at the "dark" scene in AOTC where Anakin slaughters all the Tusken raiders (off-screen): Hayden Christiansen looks (and sounds) almost as menacing as as that pimply-faced teenager from "The Simpsons".

I notice, by the way, that "dark" is never applied to really, *really* depressing movies; usually it's applied to more comic-booky stuff. Movies like, say, AFFLICTION or THE SWEET HEREAFTER are never described as "dark" even though they're just the kind of bleak, hopeless movies that make you want either to get blind drunk or commit suicide after watching them.

Constantine: Dark, Clive Barker kind of dark...with a happy ending...sort of.

the directers cut of 'the butterfly affect' depressed the crap out of me but i wouldn't call it dark as such... it had dark elements, but it didn't appraoch from the darkest angle...

NAKED by mike leigh was a dark film... i felt like shit for weeks...

QUOTE (Lord Aquaman @ Mar 14 2005, 09:08 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Lucas went so far as to say that Episode I was geared mainly to little kids so what was the point of that if he wasn't intending for them to see Episode III?

I hear ya...but what about the kids that saw Episode I in theaters at like 6 or 7 years old...well, that was like 6 years ago.

Fast forward to now and they are just old enough to watch a PG-13 movie.

PG-13 isn't even a real barrier. And Giff has a very good point.
