Ewww...."Judgement Night"...

01) The Cramps - "Can Your Pussy Do The Dog?"
02) T. Rex - "Bang A Gong (Get It On)"
03) The Yeah Yeah Yeahs - "Fever To Tell"
04) Nine Inch Nails - "Closer"
05) Pantera - "Hellbound"
06) Revolting Cocks - "Beers, Streers, and Queers" (for Barend)
07) Public Enemy - "Sophisticated Bitch"
08) Eminem - "Kim"
09) Aphex Twin - "Windowlicker"
10) David Cross - "Ronnie And Kayla's Love Theme" (from "Run Ronnie Run")
11) Dead Kennedys - "Too Drunk To Fuck"
12) Mindless Self Indulgence - "Bitches"

That might be a little crummy, but oh well. I did it.
Anywho....new theme is side projects. They don't have to be obscure or anything, just...you know, side projects.

reader: your idea of one hit wonders sucks... you should have to redo that... most of those bands enjoyed many hits!!!

Yea, i fucking know, alright? I suck at these games anyhow. But no one else was moving things along. Someone had to give it momentum, no matter how pitiful.

Hmmm...I think I'll stretch it by alternating the principle band with the side projects

The Pixies: Where is My Mind?
The Breeders: Cannonball
New Order: True Faith
Electronic: Getting Away With It
Primal Scream: Higher than the Sun
Jesus and Mary Chain: Just Like Honey (Bobby Gillespie, singer in Primal Scream, was drumming with them at the time...I'm really stretching here)
Depeche Mode: Never Let Me Down Again
Martin L. Gore: In a Matter of Speaking
Talking Heads: Psycho Killer
Tom Tom Club: Genuis of Love
Harmonic Imbalance: Expanding Orifice
Euth: Union Carbide Fourth of July

Next challenge: groups with at least two members from the same family (this probably won't be too hard)

Actually, the longest band name that I can think of is "...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead", but they're riding on a really shitty album right now.

Right, so I'll give this one a go, although it's more than a little vague...I guess I just list off some songs about weed.

01) Black Sabbath - "Sweet Leaf"
02) Bob Dylan - "Mr. Tambourine Man"
03) Tom Petty - "Last Dance With Mary Jane" (iffy, I think...)
04) Musical Youth - "Pass The Dutchie"
05) Sublime - "Smoke Two Joints"
06) Peter, Paul and Mary - "Puff The Magic Dragon"
07) Arlo Guthrie - "Comin' In To Los Angeles"
08) Stevie Ray Vaughn and Buddy Buy - "Marijuana Hemp Blues (Champagne & Reefer)"
09) Cypress Hill & Sonic Youth - "I Love You Mary Jane"
10) Incubus - "Still Smoking The Herb" (I think that's what it's called, it's a hidden track on "S.C.I.E.N.C.E.")
11) Peter Tosh - "Legalize It"
12) Jefferson Airplane - "White Rabbit"

I don't know if the JA song is actually about pot, but it's a pretty trippy song anyway, and would be a good mood-setter for dealing with drug paraphernalia. Erm...so I would assume, that is....*cough*

Right so...how about "Ultimate Party Songs"! Avoid crappy trance anthems if at all possible.

my side project 'Canibalingus' was originally called 'Dark Angel Of Death From Beyond The Graveyard Of The Dead'

...and 'white rabit' seems to be about alice in wonderland...

First up, I never claimed to like any of the songs I used. Fact: I dislike the majority of them. However, since I didn't have much to work with on that theme, I used them anyway.
And as far as "White Rabbit" goes:

I know it's about Alice In Wonderland. The references are blatantly obvious, it's just a trippy song that would suit the mood. Now stop picking everybody's lists apart.

i wasn't saying it to attack your list....

you said: "I don't know if the JA song is actually about pot"
and i said "'white rabit' seems to be about alice in wonderland"

sort of a 'maybe, i don't know'

no ones tearing your lists apart...
stop being so darn defensive...

now look what you've done... you made me say 'darn'

My point was that between that, and your comments regarding one of Reader's lists, you've done enough nitpicking regarding the contents of others' lists.
