I tend to shave my legs a lot. Any sight of those nasty little hairs makes me feel gross, so I get rid of them any chance I get!! As for being ambushed, I tend to get rid of that stuff just as often as well. No hair for me thanks, except on my head.

I was wondering if it is only shawing of legs that inspires such a heated debate. There were times when women actually refused to shave their legs as a manifesto against being just sex objects. Not any longer, of course.

However, nowadays it is not only about shawing legs, really. I suppose for some of you guys a woman will only be touchable only after like three hours of daily or at least weekly maintenance.

Calf stubble is repulsive? How about unmanicured nails and toenails?Unexfoliated skin? Roots showing? Uneven teeth, excessive tan or lack of it? Moles, freckles, surgery scars, huh? To say nothing about hairs in "bikini line". Crooked noses? A wobbly bit here and there? Sweaty palms? Wrinkles on the forehead? A droopy boob?

Mind you, there is nothing modern cosmetics and surgery cannot turn right, these days.

I have read in one article that one thing that is all the rage in some parts of US is BLEACHING some of the body parts which are normally not exposed. I wonder whether at some point we will get guys refusing to date women because of that .

Man, droopy boob is such a great phrase, but there's nowhere you could use it in everyday life.

I have to agree with everyones favorite booze drinking robot in that last statement.

Ms. Corvax: It isn't really fair to complain about what some people find physically attractive and what they don't. Some people are very picky, sure, but they either give it up or stay alone. And there's more to women than appearances. There's nothing I hate more than having to listen to stupid and shallow women drone on about things no one with any sense would even care about.

I may get flamed here, but damn it, I want a women who's not missing any body parts. There, I've said it. And sweaty palms are pretty gross. It's all about how much you can compromise for the person. If you're looking for a sex object, you're either going to try to find model-quality women or very easy ones. Looks aren't permanent, personality is (though it's mutable).

Rocko: You'd probably use the plural then...

Honestly, you find sweaty palms gross? I just threw this in for a good measure, as one of the "least repulsive" qualities....

Anyway, I'm beginning to get the picture that most of you guys stay alone just because you are too picky... Sorry, but it just shows shalowness.

As Slade rightly said, looks are not permanent. People do age and lose their looks eventually. But men tend to concentrate on the exterior because of the pressure of the media promoting the super model look. So suddenly it started to be totally uncool to get old, to have those little personal flaws like sweaty palms, hair in some places etc.

I mean, I can understand the physical repulsion, but then please don't complain that you are alone. No woman, unless she is a professional model or actress, would be body hair-free and glamorous 24/7. To maintain your looks is a full-time job.

pickiness is a problem, but my pickiness is more social...

but out of pure coincidence i've only dated cute girls...
but before anyone attacks me one was a philsophy/media honour student, and another was a laser physicist...

what really pisses me off is the way cool girls suddenly dissapear off the face of the planet when i'm single and then all of a sudden i'm ambushed by a group of cool, smart,c ute girls who show some sort of interest. it's like they try to set me up for some sort of disasterous romantic comedy that ends up with the main guy learning a lesson instead of getting a girlfriend...

women... they would have us beleive that everything the do is intentional and well planned... if it is actually true... then they are pure calculated evil...

Like hell it was... Coincidence my fat fanny. You would not look at the less attractive girls, let alone those with sweaty palms or a few hairs on their calves...

Anyway, if this is the case, then I accept the term "pure calculated evil". It is actually cool. I might use that one as the personal description...

Well it should!

I'd like to say I want someone who's both attractive to me and has a personality that works well with mine, but when you've never been shown any attention by anyone of the opposite sex in your life, it kinda degrades any sort of standards you might have.

And I could compromise on things I find unpleasant. It wouldn't be fair not to, since I'm pale and flabby and half-mad. Can't expect it to work out if only my hypothetical girlfriend allows herself to settle for me (which she'd pretty much have to be settling).

Edit: Kdogg, you make a wonderful addition to every intelligent argument you enter.

Boyos, I am not that ignorant. I know of the manifold meanings of the otherwise innocuous word "fanny". I was counting on you laughing out loud. I told you I am going to flout the convention from now on.

Until certain age, all the attention I received from the opposite sex was from a certain sort of geeks...I am not picky or anything, but a middle aged bachelor with a substantial paunch was hardly suuitable for a 16 year old schoolgirl, however spotty she might have been at that time....
